Returning to XCOM's old-skool RTS roots, albeit with an action-oriented twist, XCOM: Enemy Unknown is the XCOM game fans of the original have been waiting for. 2K Games has today released a new developer diary going behind the scenes at developer Firaxis Games, answering some burning questions surrounding the modernisation of the classic RTS.

Referencing the original, the video talks about what's changed for the new game, with the additional action focus bringing a variety of new gameplay elements to the table, alongside the traditional strategy-based aspects of XCOM.
