Do not adjust your sets. You're not looking at a remake of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It's Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II, which sees a return to a whole host of Sonic 2 zones, including Sky Chase and Wing Fortress, which both take centre stage in these launch screenshots. There's even the arduous Aquatic Ruin zone from Sonic 2. There's a snowy stage in the shots too, which could be a return to Sonic 3's Ice Cap zone, and there's also a desert stage that looks a hell of a lot like the Desert Palace zone. Hmm... Even the Special Stages are lifted straight out of Sonic 2. Still, it does look very cool... There's 37 screenshots to check out in the gallery, which also include a look at some of the bosses, as well as the launch trailer.
