DC Universe Online is set to get a fourth DLC pack next month that will see the return of the Joker for 'The Last Laugh'. Featuring more intense multiplayer battles, an all-new weapon and the new Light-Powered Legends PvP characters, The Last Laugh adds hours of extra gameplay to DCUO's Safe Houses and Headquarters.

“We created this DLC purely for the players that like to take the fight to each other in DCUO's amazing PvP combat," said Creative Director, Jens Andersen. "Our community has continuously asked for more multiplayer action in DCUO, and we wanted to deliver content that fully meets their expectations and pushes PvP to another level. The Last Laugh is the first DLC that we've created that focuses almost entirely on player versus player battles, and it adds an exciting new element as some of DC's greatest heroes and villains join to fight alongside you. Players will have even more opportunities to prove to the world whether heroes or villains will be triumphant."

The Last Laugh will be available in June and will be free to DC Universe Legendary members, and will be available to purchase at an as yet unconfirmed price for Free and Premium members via the PlayStation Network. Here's a breakdown of the DLC's key features:

  • The Shield – Players can unleash this vicious new weapon to bash their opponents, or hurl it to take them down from a distance.
  • Safe House Battles – No one is safe now that heroes and villains can invade each other’s Safe Houses in these four on four battles.
    • Graviton Technology Recovery – Players will be tasked with unscrambling teleporter codes that The Joker has mixed into fragments. Located at the Watchtower or Hall of Doom, players must retrieve eight code fragments to successfully rebuild useable teleporter codes.
    • The Rescue – Heroes must rescue hostages, while Villains will be freeing arrested criminals from opposing Safe Houses.
    • Bomb Disposal – Thanks to The Joker, the encryption on the Email terminals has changed and can only be bypassed by the robot he provided. Players must gain control of the robot and either upload the data to their HQ or add new encryption to keep their enemies and The Joker away from it.
  • Headquarter Battles – In this two-part crusade, 16 players – eight heroes and eight villains – will face off for the ultimate player reward. At the request of Superman, heroes must take over the Hall of Doom, while villains, egged on by The Joker, will breach the Watchtower in order to create chaos.
  • Legends Characters – Combat illuminates with the introduction of the first light-powered Legends for multiplayer combat. Players will soon have access to Kilowog, a Green Lantern, and Amon Sur, a member of the Sinestro Corps.

The Last Laugh will be hitting DC Universe Online in June. Check out 16 new screenshots in the gallery, and a handful of shots below.

No, they're easy. But you have to pay for a subscription in order to unlock any.

the plat is easy but long, took me about six months of part time play, became very repetitive but was still fun.

I'm mad that I bought the retail version and paid for months of content and still got locked out of the trophies when I stopped paying.

@ 1 & 2. Platinum is simple. Create 6 toons, level them all to 30, 1 of each mentor and at least one of each movement type & role type. Go Legendary ONCE and once only. You get access to all dlc content that is up @ that time. Bing-Bam-Boom platinum and a little more trophy action.
Cancel your subscription you revert to premium and keep the DLC that you had as Legendary. Simple.

And yes I know we're limited to how many characters we can create as F2P or premium, but if you buy a DLC pack or some of the content from the marketplace you can unlock Premium account status (no subscription) and get more character slots. Sorry I forgot this, it's been a while since I was either Premium or F2P.
