Issue one of Marvel's Max Payne 3 comic book titled 'After the Fall' is available to download now for free. The first of three parts, the comic book traces key events that take place during Max Payne 1 & 2, as well as offering some background that leads into Max Payne 3, like the mysterious old guy who lives down the hall next to Max. Opening in a dive bar in Hoboken, New Jersey that is also a scene in Max Payne 3, the comic book then delves into Max's past looking at his upbringing and early years. After the Fall is written by Sam Lake and Dan Houser, so as you'd expect, it's rather good. And it's free, so there's no reason not to read it.
