| That's great, If the game wasn't so buggy I'd get this. For now I'd just stick with your copy and pick up a $20 PSN card and just buy the DLC from the PS Store. I can only imagine how glitchy the GOTY would be. Man this game caused me to reply it multiple times due to glitches. lol |

| I was holding off getting this until the inevitable GOTY release. I've been wanting to play it for ages but have been a little pessimistic due to these bugs and glitches I keep hearing about. I look forward to getting this! |

| I played through the game starting on release day and had absolutely no bugs or glitches. All of my friends I played with had no bugs or glitches too. I would pick the game up to try it since for 8 people on my end it played perfectly with no issues. |

| After getting the platinum, and seeing the amount of sales this game got. I knew it was just a matter of time. I won't be preordering it this time around though. There are better devs out there. |

GOTY is no longer game of the year, overall (Most of the time).
Its when a publisher has several releases, and the ones with paid DLC can qualify.
Catherine would have beat out Dead Island, but Dead Island had paid DLC, so Deep Silver decided to throw it all together and release a GOTY version, even though by all accounts Dead Island was never even in the running for GOTY.
I would be willing to bet that THQ will be releasing a Saint's Row: The Third GOTY edition several months after their upcoming "expansion" is released, Full game + Expansion + All DLC...its good business from a marketing perspective.
Just like Rockstar with GTA4 Complete, full game + both expansions. |

| Yeah! Hold up! I though Skyrim won GOTY... and now Arkham City and Dead Island won it too? Isnt it called Game of the Year for a reason, not Games of the Year, I mean how are we supposed to know which was actually 'the' game of the year if all great games of that year release their own GOTY... yeno haha :,) |

Right please someone explain to me. I thought games were supposed to brin out game of the year versions if they won the actual award?
Coz really all I'm seeing here are games that range from beig dog shit to really good (not winning any awards at all) releasing GOTY editions within 12 months of release. No coincidence either that they all have dlc.
What is the point? This just makes me look at any game with announced dlc ad think well what's the point in spending £40 then £20more for dlc when if I wait a year I can get a so called GOTY version with everything for £25? |

| No shit i was actually talking about this to my brother a few days ago. most likely in nz they will do the same thing as they did for just cause 2 GOTY edition. they will cut the price in half for a week then start selling it for full price afterwards. probably might pick this up cause i didn't the first time around |

Not that this was a bad game, but it wasn't great either. There were AT LEAST 5 or 6 games that were WAY better than this last year. |

| This fits me perfectly- it intrigued me enough to consider buying it (but not quite), and had dlc trophies that I would normally not bother with. All in all, wait for this to price drop a bit, and I'll have a game that I would originally have not bothered with but instead will get brand new from publishers. |

See what you've just said is why the games industry is losing money. They've released so many GOTY editions that now most of us have this attitude and it's not our fault. Nobody told these guys they had to do this.
Maybe if people like you and me voiced our opinions more then the games companies would realize what their doing that is driving fans away. |

| This developer needs to fix his game before releasing it to earn a quick buck. That's the biggest problem in 2012. Developers bring out a game that is 80% done and sell it to us because they dindn't reach the deadline. And they bring out a few stupid patches afterwards. |

| Is GOTY even really an award? It seems they're just calling later editions of games with all the dlc included "GOTY", not really depending on whether it was actually the game of the year. (Besides, GOTY doesn't mean anything, really, unless each website and magazine gave such an ward to the very same game in a year.) |
