LittleBigPlanet Karting Vid Shows Off Features, Vita Version Not Currently in Development

Good news and bad news for fans of LittleBigPlanet Karting. The good news is that there’s a shiny new vid below. The bad news is that a Vita version of the game is not currently in the works.

The vid features United Front Games’ William Ho discussing various aspects of the LBP Karting, from the level editor, to the racing itself and the “Create, Play, Share” bits. You can find it below, it’s sprinkled liberally with gameplay footage.

Meanwhile, responding to a question on the PS Blog, Ho revealed that the studio is not currently working on a Vita version of the game. Not yet, anyway. “We are concentrating 100% on making the PS3 version LittleBigPlanet Karting the very best it can be,” he said. “We are not working on a Vita version at this time.”

LBP Karting is out in October.

	From everything I've seen of this, I reckon it could do really well. It reminds me of a cross between LittleBigPlanet, Mario Kart and Crash Bandicoot Racing... I just hope they still have Stephen Fry providing the narration :)

	With this game, LBP will go to LBP 3D. Awesome.

	I really hope this game isn't just a reskinned MNR but if it is let them at least have learned from their mistakes.

	This looks like a blast. I am surprised by the no Vita version as of yet tho. This is the type of game the Vita needs right now and I would have figured it would have been a Vita exclusive to reel in some sales for the Vita but I guess not.

	I haven't even played ModNation Riders before. I heard it wasn't that great. Thing is I love Kart racing game like Mario Kart (my favorite and the best one), Crash Bandicoot, Diddy Kong Racing, Sonic All-Stars, etc. I probably will pick this one up. It looks good and fun!

	Well i'm glad in hear "create tracks, race and battles will be easy", seriously one of the reason that i prefer MNR over LBP is create things, create tracks in MNR is very easy and simple to learn since has great and funny tutorials unlike LBP that create levels are tedious, hard, and finally i end up getting bored of what i'm creating (also the tutorials are horribles)
