This is 100% ok with me, The number 3 should fit a place in all our hearts, this series is wonderful and I'm sure a 4th would be nice but putting Uncharted to rest sounds better than actually making the 4th. Drake;s uncharted voyage to Sir Francis was met with a sinking city therefore ending the series with a "Bang". The departure of this developer will hopefully stop the creation of Uncharted so "The Last of Us" can be just as good if not better than the Uncharted series and Jak series.

@7 Someone who "personally thinks the Uncharted games are some of the most over rated games" but posts their opinions on an Uncharted thread is commonly known as a troll, and someone who thinks that the Uncharted series show "a severe lack of quality" is commonly known as an idiot. Take your pick.
Good luck to the guy, he's proved his worth over the last 8 years and it's great that he wants to move on to educating others; there are too many teachers/lecturers trying to prepare their students for a professional career in their chosen field with no real experience to draw upon. I work for a university and most of the lecturers can't even dress themselves properly! |

online is just horrible
last night i spent an hour to get into the game, reinstalling the game data and patch 1.09 several times(i think 5 times)

OT: It's upsetting to see developers leave their studio, especially when they're an extremely talented individual... however, I do wish him luck with his future endeavours, and he should be the perfect candidate to teach interactive media, since he'll have all the knowledge, unlike some other teachers I know, that just read it all from a book as they go along, as if they're learning it at the same time... (Well, I DID know them, I'm out of school and college now, lol) |

| @7 as a xbox 360 gamer...i will always say the 360 is best..as to why people believe otherwise i don't understand..i owned ps3 first..switched to 360 and never came back..still play the system and i have 31 platinums...but you must be crazy if you think uncharted is over rated...it's one of the best games this generation..are you insane LOL...next i'll hear god of war is over rated lmao! stfu scrub! |

@14 CoD? Having a 2.0 K/D ratio or higher on all CoD games I've played with a large amount of kills,not 20/10,as well as all achievements/trophies in the original list of some of the games.I think your arguement is invalid.Now since you will probably try to switch to a "Oh he's a CoD FPS head!" then you will also be wrong. They've been on the downhill for years,ever since CoD4,I havent even bought all of them since,AND I doubt I will be giving Activision any of my money for future CoD games.
@15 While owning both consoles myself as well,I dont feel I fanboy to either.It is easy for others to rush and say "He dissed a ps3 exclusive,fanboy!!" but common sense says that I just happen to not like said game.I enjoy several ps3 exclusives,hell one of my top 3 games this generation is a ps3 exclusive.And yes,I do believe that Uncharted games are over rated because they actually feel like bad Tomb Raider rip offs.As for God of War,I havent played them because that type of game doesn't appeal to me. |

Here's the problem. Most rational people don't really care one way or the other. If you don't like Uncharted, that's fine. More power to you. I disagree, but that's what makes it an opinion. You can't be right or wrong. It is your OWN personal opinion.
The problem I have, as do most level headed people, is this - "Those who can't do, teach."
So, my wife can't do? She is a graphic design teacher that puts her heart and soul into enlightening and shaping her students to strive to acheive.
My best friend can't do? He is an English teacher at an inner city school, where he has to go even further than most teachers to connect with his students who can't see a way out of their lot in life, a continuing cycle of violence and poverty that he tries to show CAN be broken by getting a better education.
I don't care even the slightest that you have a 2.0 k/d in CoD. I don't care about your hostility towards Uncharted. None of that matters.
Education matters. Teachers matter. Do not belittle people who have some of the most demanding, important, low-paying jobs that you can have. |

My first thought was 'damn, that's a shame to see him leave the gaming industry' but then my second thought was that students at the university of Southern California’s school are in for a treat, and may turn in to important game designers etc. down the line, so it's definitely a positive. | Good, uncharted has ended good for him for wanting something new. You know what when. I finished primary school I wanted new challenges at high School and when I did 5 years there I went further and studied at college, after getting bored I got a full time job and I'm still working now! Fucking hell some gamers need a life if the bloke wants a change then good luck to him. Being a part of uncharted series in 8! Years warrants a break, I respect him for not wantin to milk a successful franchise more than its worth |

| @3 i have to agree, i feel that uncharted has run its course now, i have played all four and enjoyed them all but i felt as though drakes deception lacked a little bit of the magic of the others, its probably just me that feels that way but never the less i feel its time to put this amazing series to bed and wake up a great new series! |
