Konami Tease Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Announcement For Next Week

We love a bit of Metal Gear here at PS3T. Of course we do, everyone does. We’re also rather fond of Platinum Games, whose Vanquish and Bayonetta represent the more awesome end of the insane action genre. But this trailer? Nah.

A live action affair, all quick cuts and piss-poor production values, the vid is intended to tease us for a forthcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance reveal on Monday next week. It points to the game’s website featuring a countdown and little else. Countdowns are fine. Crappy teaser trailers are not.

So maybe we got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning, but urgh. Step it up, Konami. Let’s hope Monday brings better things.

Well your right, that trailer was pretty crappy. I'l still be picking up Rising though, I'm just not going to refer to it as Revengance.

I suppose it's meant to be an indication of the stuff that Jack (Raiden) went through as a kid, considering he was fed War. But I agree..this wasn't...that...good.

im so sad for metal gear.. if kojima does not want to do this anymore then just stop! I would rather have noting then a pos that has been kicked around for years..

What the hell was that!? That was THE worst teaser trailer I have ever seen, the more I'm hearing and seeing about this game, the less I'm wanting it.
