Warhawk was great and all, but it didn't really have a story as such, which is where sequel Starhawk comes in. It has a story and everything. You're a rift energy salvager named Emmett, able to harness the power of the greeny-blue glowing stuff, as well as pilot a multitude vehicles.

There's the jetpack, Sidewinder jetbike, the 4x4 Razorback, the Ox Heavy Tank and of course, the transforming Hawk that can seamlessly switch between robot and jet fighter forms. The story looks like suitably epic sci-fi fare too, with Emmett at the centre of a sweeping plot revolving around a rogue outlaw called Logan and the mining of that problematic "blue gold" known as rift energy.

You'll be able to take to the Frontier as the conflict between the Rifters and Outcasts gets underway when Starhawk launches across North America on May 8th and in Europe on May 9th. Check out the story trailer below for an overview of the solo campaign.
