![]() | Resistance: Burning Skies' Survival Mode Unveiled Written Monday, April 23, 2012 By Richard Walker View author's profile |
Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch is coming to Resistance: Burning Skies, offering support for up to 8-players. This much we already know, but Sony has also today lifted the lid on the Survival Mode that pits humans against the relentless forces of the Chimera. Six players start out as humans and two play as Chimera, and any humans that the Chimera succeed in killing are resurrected as Chimera, gradually tipping the balance. The winner is the human that can last the longest against the seven remaining Chimera, while the timer is running. Additionally, as a pre-order incentive for Resistance: Burning Skies, there'll be a special multiplayer bonus that boosts you straight to level five, unlocking your first grenade upgrade: the Hedgehog, which explodes in a burst of needles. You'll unlock your first weapon upgrade at level five too. A pre-order will also bag you three character avatars based on Burning Skies' lead characters Riley and Ellie, as well as a Chimera, along with a custom PS Vita lock screen theme. Resistance: Burning Skies is out on May 29th in North America and May 30th in Europe. There's three new screenshots to check out below. [Via PlayStation Blog] ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
