They should stop now and no longer milk this franchise. I am a HUGE fan of the series (bought GoW I on launch day on PS2), but these new Developers are ruining David Jaffe's story.
It all started with Jaffe, and to see it now so far divorced from what Jaffe intended it to be, pains me.
The 3 previous games are all great; Jaffe, Cory and Stig all did a great job because they were there from the start (although Jaffe's ending to GoW3 was better than Stig's).
Where did Stig go, why is he not directing this new one? |

Kratos pre epic blades? hmm, i'll wait to judge until i see gameplay but i dont like the sound of it tbh, even tho all the games have had other weapons, i think i used the blades 95% of the time, excluding boss battles.
how likely is a 2012 release? :/ |

As much as I hate to say it, im really hoping for the addition of co-op. IMHO, this series needs a kick in the teeth. GOW3, although certainly not a bad game, left me disappointed. It really didnt do anything for me after the first level. That first level was sooo epic and then the rest of the game just felt stale and generic to me. It kinda reminded me of how I felt about RE5. Fun game. Looks good. Just didnt wow me like I thought they should, being that they were the first additions of a storied series on Next-Gen consoles.
Leaving my expectations around mid-level. That way, if its not great, I wont be so disappointed. But, if it is awesome, I can be blown away. Like how we all were after playing each of the first 2 God of Wars. |

The hell with vita. I want this on PS3. Full HD and 3D.
I wanted a prequel but with the gods battling the titans on the first war. Another kratos prequel is like... Yeah is GOW but come on... Enough with the prequels. They just add nonsense and plot holes to the previous games.

Start with Chains of Olympus, then 1, then Betrayal(mobile phone game), then Ghost of Sparta, then 2, then 3. I haven't played Betrayal, but the rest are all very, very good games. |
