Amy Patched in Response to Player Feedback and Criticisms

According to the game's official Facebook page, Amy has been given a patch that addresses some of the numerous concerns that earned the game a less than stellar response upon its release on the PlayStation Network.

Developer VectorCell has revealed that the patch alters Amy's horrible save system, by now saving your progress at each checkpoint rather than sending you back to the beginning of the entire level if you choose to end your current game session. It also retain's Amy's powers and syringes after each checkpoint, and adds a few other fixes.

Here's a breakdown of the core changes the new patch brings to Amy:

  • Syringes remain in the inventory after a checkpoint is reached
  • Amy's Powers remain available after a checkpoint is reached
  • The combat camera has been removed
  • Most sequences can now be skipped
  • In-game brightness has been improved

Apparently, these new changes make Chapter Five easier too. Amy is available on the PlayStation Store now for $12.99.

:hmm: I wonder is this will help me with Chapter 4 .... stuck on the way to get Amy from the train because I press dodge, yet it odges and I still get hit.

I don't mean to be rude or troll it's just a matter of opinion but I wonder if this patch costs £20.000 for a £7.99 game like apparently they do?! Anyway it seems us gamers have been given a second job due to players who criticise games and give feedback on things like how this is over-powered and that has to much recoil etc. No wonder why developers bring out broken or half made games because it is us who they rely on to help fix these issues. I do love my games but each generation it changes to much and gets more complex. My gaming hit it's peak with the Playstation 2 and probably will always be my favourite generation.

Does this make the game playable now? I had been interested in this for a long time, but then the initial onslaught of horrendous reviews came in, so I passed.

Xplay gave it worse game ever! Also many videos on youtube say same thing. I cant believe its that bad but im avoiding it.

I'm a hardcore survival horror fan. Have been since the original Resident Evil and Silent Hills. I bought this day one due to the genre, but it was nothing but a lag infested bugfest for me. Amy always just stood there when I told her to hide and half the time I used powers she'd get locked in the animation and I'd have to restart the game. I quit during chapter 3. Maybe I'll try it again due to this patch but it needed alot of work.

From all the reviews I've read on how poor this game is, all the additions in the patch arent even what most players are complaining about.

What Vectorcell should do is refund every fool or actually purchased this garbage game.

I wish this game had a demo, I was curious about how bad it actually was. It was the reviews that scared me away. I was looking forward to it initially, but without a demo I probably never will try it.

Meh, i already suffered through the thing unpatched. I pride my self on accomplishing 100% then deleting it never to speak of it again.

Um alot of its wrong. The patch does NOTHING to level 5, and its only 9.99.
Also above, it wont be free ever to PSplus users because sony and them would have to agree, and if you know vectorcells past you would know they wont agree. trust me. Vectorcells a horrible company. This is only being patched to raise there rep back up.

still one problem though!! After chapter 2 many people are complaining that their chapter 3 and sometimes high voltage trophies will not unlock, i also agree with the comment about how you can clearly dodge a swipe but still get hit, the days when zombies start using extendable boxing glove guns......i will gladly eat s$£t.

All in all still a very very very bad game....SONY PLEASE DO SOMETHING SO I CAN TAKE THIS PILE OF CRAP OF MY TROPHY LIST........ANYTHING AT ALL................................I'M WILLING TO PAY YOU THE TOTAL AMOUNT I SPENT ON THE DOWNLOAD.....AND YOU SHOULD THINK YOURSELF LUCKY I'M WILLING TO DO THAT
