Based upon George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series and the hit HBO TV show, Game of Thrones had initially been slated for a May release, but now the action RPG will be coming a month later than originally anticipated. It turns out you'll have to wait a little longer for the game's original story, filled with vengeance, honour and betrayal.

With creative input from Martin himself, you'll be able to play as Mors, Sworn Brother of the Night's Watch or Alester, a Red Priest in search of redemption, as you explore Westeros. You'll be able to visit the notorious Wall, head to the famous King's Landing and meet familiar faces including Queen Cersei, Varys the Spider and Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch.

Game of Thrones will now be coming to PS3 in early-June 2012. Check out the new trailer and screenshots below.
