Grasshopper Manufacture is set to follow up Lollipop Chainsaw with the second game in its partnership with Kadokawa Games entitled 'Killer is Dead', weekly Famitsu [via Sinobi] has revealed. But it's not a sequel to Suda 51's nutty Killer 7, despite the title suggesting the possibility that it could be. Instead, in this original Suda 51-directed game, you play as a prisoner who is sentenced to death and must kill his own assassin before he has the chance to commit your execution. Apparently, Killer is Dead will be in the spirit of Suda's past efforts, Killer 7 and No More Heroes, promising to be a "dark side 007" with beautiful Bond-like ladies. Early reports indicate that Killer is Dead's gameplay will feature some No More Heroes-style swordplay, albeit with some new elements of its own thrown in. Killer is Dead is due for release sometime in 2013. [Via Andriasang] ![]() | |
