There’s a special edition of WWE ’12 on its way featuring a load of extra DLC, THQ has announced.

The additional content includes playable characters The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jim Ross.

There’s also Randy “Macho Man” Savage, Trish Stratus and Batista, plus Mick Foley, Brodus Clay, Michael Cole, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Vickie Guerrero, Kharma and Alicia Fox.

In addition to all those chaps and chapesses, the special edition also includes alternate costumes in the form of; Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal, Edge and Christian.

The package is called “Wrestlemania Edition” and it’s due out this May. We’ll bring the precise date as soon as it’s announced.

@ 1 : No, this is just the same DLC already available for the game (you can purchase them separately) in a new special edition. Just additional wrestlers and divas, and no additional trophies.

Useless for those who bought it and the DLC pass. Didn't expect to see this honestly though. Kinda wish it had some exclusive content, it's essentially a Game Of The Year edition, without being GotY.

Too bad I already have everything this version has to offer, I'm loving my Peoples Edition so I will be skipping this, but I can highly recommend this game for any wrestling fan that has not played the games in the recent years because they have been awful. This is finally the game we have waited for. It has a few flaws like every game, but nothing that cannot be overlooked and hopefully THQ will focus on those flaws to make WWE 13 even better.

it's pretty much just a game of the year type edition.

Don't think it's worth hyping up.

I have to admit, I think wwe12 ruined it for me. The exploiting of the quick grapples, to knocking people out of moves on purpose or accident (which is cool but needs to be brought back a little bit). Rumbles are pretty good except how they changed the normal elimination on the ropes (I still think they need to ditch the turnbuckle one cause that one just sucks). Biggest part is the fact you can no longer change to the old kick out system of hitting your buttons. This new system sucks big ones. I seriously hope '13 will be A LOT better.

The kickout system is perfect and makes much more intensive gameplay.
It also prevents cheaters online, unless you prefer unpinable opponents.

i wasnt a huge fan of the game and sold it after i platinumed it - im not bothered on the online aspect as no trophies = no need to waste time playing in my book. too many cheaters all going for prestige which is even more useless than what trohpies actually give.

suprised they are bothering with this - i mean its just the game plus the £7 dlc bundle.
