| | It’s rumoured that Monolith are working on a Hobbit game to tie-in with Peter Jackson’s upcoming movie. According to the report, the project from the developers of F.E.A.R. and Gotham City Impostors is an action RPG. The rumour comes from a tweet by Superannuation, a source with a proven track record for turning up truthful secrets. "As to what Monolith/Warner Bros. Games Seattle is up to now - pretty sure it is a little fantasy action RPG-lite called The Hobbit: Part One," he said. "It also sounds like Warner Bros. Seattle will be handling the tie-in for the second Hobbit film,” he added. Superannuation also suggests thatWarner Bros. has undergone a restructure of late, following the redundancy of 60 staff last year. "Snowblind [the developers of Lord of the Rings: War in the North] basically no longer exists, so WB Games Seattle is more or less Monolith and some other dev support/publishing staff and whatnot.” So then, a The Hobbit game. Let's hope they can improve on LotR: War in the North, eh?
