What better way to launch our new video section than with one of our speciality interview videos? Answer, there is none… maybe a video of Rich and Lee doing the can-can… but we’ll save that for Christmas.

We caught up with Codemasters recently to talk about their new shift in focus in the new DiRT franchise with DiRT Showdown. Ian Smith, Associate Producer, and Mike Chapman, Senior Game Designer, were on hand to answer a plethora of questions like why did they decide to splinter the franchise, does this mean DiRT 4 will be rally focused and much, much more.

DiRT Showdown is scheduled for a May 2012 release. Check what we thought about it in our latest hands-on with the game.

	Ever since playing Codemasters Bodycount i decided i would never play any game they release again

	lol just go to google and look at a list of games they have developed. You will shun them. They are maybe the worst game company around. Every time they are releasing something I am slightly interested in, I always wait to see what people saya bout it and it always gets raped. Screw this company.

	@5 Um, yes. Showdown is amazing, we need more games like this. Most racing games are street/road racing and when there is something offroad, it's like MotorStorm but not a true demolition derby game. Codemasters has said numerous times that DiRT 4 is on the way and this is something new but people are too stupid to understand that before they complain, troll Showdown articles and vote my comment down for no reason.

	@6,9 & 10. yup, you made a proper muppet outta yourself there Codemasters releasing Resident Evil LOL sorry but no, just no. I don't see how playing Bodycount can stop you buying a gme by Codemasters again, what you don't understand is Bodycount is something they 'tried' Codemasters have always been known for their racing games from console to console, the Colin McRae Rally series for the PS1 was excellent and on this platform DiRT2 was the best rally game I have played EVER even better than the Gran Turismo 5 rally section (DiRT3 is good but too much focus on Gymkhana). Seriously dude if you like racing games play DiRT2 and you will enjoy it.
