Sniper rifle games seem to be on the way back in if the sales success of Sniper: Ghost Warrior and the subsequent announcements of its sequel and Sniper Elite V2 are anything to go by.
6 years after the original, the sequel, Sniper Elite V2, is just around the corner and with the original developers, Rebellion, on board once again and teaming up with 505 Games, both publisher and developer are hoping to build on the success of said original.
We headed to an unknown location recently to catch up with Rebellion CEO and Creative Director, Jason Kingsley, and Senior Producer, Steve Hart, to talk about their follow-up to the 2006 title, as well as get to grips with some genuine World War II sniper rifles.
After catching up with Rebellion, we headed down to the range to shoot at various targets positioned approximately 100 metres away with both a German Mauser K98 sniper rifle and a 1903 Springfield sniper rifle, both of which can be found in the game.
How did we get on with our first sniper school lesson? What do Kingsley and Hart have to say about their upcoming sniper fest? Find out below.
