Guerrilla Games’ Studio Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek recently revealed that Guerrilla Games are currently working on three different games. Perhaps most interestingly, only two of those are related to the Killzone series.

Speaking during his talk at GDC last week, van Beek said that those three games are; the Vita version of Killzone (developed by Sony Cambridge who are now part of Guerrilla), the continuation of the Killzone series on PS3 and a brand new IP.

When it comes to the continuation of the Killzone series on PS3, that doesn’t necessarily mean another sequel. It could well mean support for the multiplayer aspect of the game, which now exists as a standalone PSN experience. van Beek wouldn’t specify.

He was more open about the new game though. Apparently, team members were encouraged to pitch their ideas, before voting narrowed the concepts down from 32 to just four. van Beek said games themed around zombies, werewolves, steampunk and Ghost in the Shell were pitched amongst those initial ideas.

He even went on to detail one of the concepts that was iterated upon, though it ultimately came nothing. It was the steampunk game. Starting as a steampunk Sherlock Holmes adventure, where the detective fought monsters, it developed into a game called Dark Science. Dark Science featured a gritty character called Jake Crowbar. That's right, Jake Crowbar. Awesome.

Unfortunately, however, Jake Crowbar and his game never came to fruition. Unlucky, Jake.
