| I love Battlefield, but it's starting to be purely because it's just the lesser of two evils here |

And this is why i completely gave up on this series. Even EA/DICE gets a hard on over COD |

| @4 Please don't tell me that if we take both games (cod and bf) and battlefield start to milk over his players you'd prefer Cod? |

| @6 Yeh fair point, no i wouldn't ever go back to COD now. Battlefield all the way for me. |

| I've been playing Battlefield since BF2 (the real BF2, not that Bad Company crap), and I could never give up on it for anything. But I will NOT pay a subscription. EVER. |

| I know im probably going to get hated for this but EA have gone to far! Im mean first online passes, then having to sign up to origin, then day one dlc (supposedly already on the disc), and now subscriptions?! i mean come on! |

| Gaming is getting to be too expensive. There hasn't be a true must play game on any console in over ten years and with the rising price tags...might time for some of us to give up games for good. |

| If I had to pay for Karkand it would've been $15 out of pocket and with CQ, and the other two DLC's we can estimate total all DLC would be $60 so if they did go through with it id be willing to spend $45-60 as long as it guaranteed me all 4 packs + extras. |

Who the hell cares... Buy it or don't! Stop crying about companies trying to make money, that what they are supposed to do... and if you owned on... you would do just the same. If you say you wouldn't you would go out of busy rather quick. Personally, BF3 is "eh" at best. I had high hopes for it and it doesn't even feel like BF to me. BF ended with BF2! And before you start on me, I am not a COD fan that much either. I owned both and got rid of both. Let the hating begin :) |

@11 ummmm what rock are you living under? Arkham City, LBP, GT5, Dead Space (1), and many more have all been "must plays" that even my mother who doesn't play any system picked up and played and beat. I'll agree gaming is getting expensive but so is every hobby, I shoot in my free time and ammo just went up $4 a box here, my buddy races and his racing fuel just went $1.75 a gallon, no hobby goes untouched when it comes to corporate growth its just a matter of how much you're willing to feed your enjoyment. I for one will never put down games no matter the cost because I remember paying $89 for Super Mario 64 day one. |

| I play both BF and COD, and I like both of them for different reasons, though I don't think an "Elite" type of service would fit in very well with what BF has already established. |

I really don't mind a subscription service like Elite for BF in the future. Based off elite, it's likely you'll save a good 10$ or so in the end on DLC, which a person like me will probably buy anyway. As long ad they don't go as far as to add Premium Only challenges like the Clan Operations, they can do all they want with a premium service. Its not like you would be forced to buy it. |

"Like all other companies, we're looking at how we can [...] get more people playing this product." Oh yeah. Makes sense. People not interested in your game will run to the store when there's a monthly subscription available. |

see I like the current battlelog as it is, you can check stats and that's just dandy But this is EA, Evil Arts of late, any way to make more money, tis a shame DICE doesn't have the same publishing powers |

Battlefield has been an institution for me and my mates since we first played 1942 in a LAN party that we set up in my parent's living room. It is one of the greatest game franchises ever made and I, along with millions of others, will happily buy every game made that says Battlefield on it. The problem is, EA knows this. The same way Acti knew it with CoD. There will always be a massive number of people willing to pay for stat tracking etc. I, for one, am not one of those people. I will NEVER pay a subscription service for a game. If I wanted to do that, I'd be playing EVE Online, World of Warcraft and The Old Republic |

| Between this and waiting 8 months for ANY proper DLC (rehashed maps dont count) DICE have screwed the pooch, I have come to the conclusion that their shooter games (BC, BC2, MOH, BF3) have about a four month life span and they either let them die or just dont give a plonk...they are fun, but when I am done with them I never go back for some reason, and paying $$ is not likely to change that! |

Dear EA: please stop ruining everything you touch simply because of pure greed. remember the old sega and snes games when people used to care about... you know... how good the games were? rather than how much money they can squeeze out of people? They almost messed it up to begin with by forcing an earlier release date. Drives me nuts! |

| I hate hypocrisy, I remember when elite was reported and EA/DICE bragged how battlelog was free and they don't want to rip their fans off......how short lived that was fuck you EA. I don't begrudge you wanting to find new ways of making money but being hypocritical won't get you many fans, you may have short term memories but people who part with their money do not.......I will never pay for any elite based service |

It's like australia's big 2 retailers, coles and woolworths, always trying to out do the other... BUT THESE ARE 2 COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAMES! WHY MUST YOU EA COPY THEM! ...I'd buy if it was any decent but if they just take off features/add redundant features to the current I wont buy. |
