"Combat is focused on putting you on the offensive and based on speed/momentum." For a series that was used to be furtive and all about discretion... |

@#1 Good luck avoiding all AC3 info for the next seven months. Ubisoft seem to be taking the revolution of this franchise seriously rather than just rehashing the same old formula too many times, kudos to them if this lives up to the promise. Activision take note please. |

This does look good! I`m glad the British are portrayed as neutral, I was thinking that the Assassin would kill all British and I thought "Don`t pick sides". I`m glad he doesn't (Although he makes friends with the American Presidents". |

| This sounds like it could be the best AC yet with all the improvements & mocaped actors, this is one of the biggest improvements for me (This game has the longest development cycle since AC1). The fluid free running & leaping over wagons or sliding under obstacles & taking human shields etc, if done just right sounds excellent. & taking Naughty Dog style to cut scenes will set AC3 apart from the other's which AC needs, making the game play more like a movie if a big plus (the best ideas are shared not copied). I could go on, I'm keeping a eye on AC3 which I have not done since's AC & AC2. |

@2 I think they're talking about open combats, not stealthy approaches. @8 Agree. Now that's a proper sequel! Tons of improvements and new/tweaked features! Some developers should learn a lesson from Ubisoft. |

| @#2, yes the game is about discretion. Play the game discretely and it's still inevitable to find some combat. AC2/B/R combat was about: If discretion fails, just kill everyone. Except for those fucking Janissaries in Constantinople. I'm happy with the way combat is going to be. |

This all sounds amazing! My only minor gripe is that, to me, the name Connor doesn't fit right. While I know that name existed back then, it still seems to modern. I think they should have gone with something more colonial sounding. Still, I'll be able to get over it. |

I don't know how I feel about the Animus returning. I'm sure there will be some very thin bullshit excuse for going back to another ancestor. Desmond should be the focus of ACIII, we should be playing as him the majority of the game. Well...I guess any more upcoming details will determine whether I will get this at full price or not. On a side note, if ACIII is the true end of the Desmond story, I think exploring the Assassins in the side stories would make for a fun future AC title. |

Sounds very promising but I dont understand how they will tie the ending of AC into this? Maybe something Connor does will have an effect on something Desmond does? ... |

| @39 & @40, I am looking forward to both. Assassin's Creed always has the best trailers and Tobuscus makes the best literal trailers. Anyways, Looks like Ubisoft is making up for the dissapointment that was Revelations, I really wish they would've never made Brotherhood or Revelations, and just taken all that time to make this game, that way Assassins Creed would still be more original, but this game sounds really promising. Really interested in the setting too. |

| @25 Not colonial enough? The character is supposedly half English ( Not colonial ) half native american ( Not colonial ) and as Connor is an Irish name anyway, he may as well have been named Sub Zero for the amount of sense it's going to make! |

| This, in my opinion, could be the best Assassin's Creed yet. They are FINALLY introducing "Mirror's Edge" style free running (sliding). Also, they have brought it to America which has been a long time coming. Connor looks like he could be the coolest character (Altair was only in one game and Ezio was in too many in my opinion). Thank you Ubisoft for giving me my favorite games series of all time! |

This is going to be one of those games that will constantly remind me on another. The setting reminds me of Red Dead Redemption while fighting with 2 weapons at once (Tomahawk and Knife) reminds me of SEGA's Viking (Axe and Sword). Doesn't mean I won't love it, I'm already loving the fact that the wilderness is back (and hopefully horses) after little to no fields or anything in Revelations. Also want to point out that, seeing as Brotherhood and Revelations were literally 2.5 and something like 2.8 respectively, this will feel like a 3.5 easily. Less of the same and more of the new will be AWESOME! I can't wait! |
