BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend Coming to Europe on Feb 22nd

Arc System Works and PQube have today announced that BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend will be winging its way to PlayStation 3s and PS Vitas all over Europe later this month to coincide with the EU release of Sony's handheld, bringing with it a host of new features and content.

Representing the "ultimate version" of the 2D fighting franchise, BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend adds the following to the game:

  • Brand new character, Relius Clover.
  • All DLC characters, Makoto Nanaya, Valkenhayn R Hellsing and Platinum the Trinity, as well as previously unlock-only Mu12, available from the offset.
  • The original ‘Calamity Trigger’ story re-mastered, allowing new players to experience the epic saga from the very beginning.
  • All-new stories and scenarios – taking the total amount to 23 individual tales to play through.
  • Brand new Unlimited Mars Mode and improved Abyss Mode.
  • All-new team battles for an even better, and more competitive, online experience.
  • BlazBlue’s renowned tutorials and challenge modes to help improve the skill of both new players and BlazBlue veterans.

There'll be both a standard version and an EU-exclusive Limited Edition of BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend coming to Europe for PS3 and PS Vita on February 22nd, 2012. Check out the trailer below.

I've never played any of the Blazblue games, but really wanted to... am I right in thinking that this is basically both games on one disc, with added content? Sort of how White Knight Chronicles 2 had a remastered version of the first game on the same disc? If so I'll definitely be picking this up, if not... meh.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!! Why have we had to wait longer than everyone else again =[

@5 Kokenoe isn't a fighter, I don't really see how she'd play if they made her her own character. She uses Lambda to fight for her.

@6 I believe the new story mode covers both games, but this is the latest balance update of all the characters. So yeah basically this covers everything in CT and CS and is the most up to date version, no real point buying either of the other 2 now (unless you want to see how insane some characters were in CT!)
