@2 sanchezz4387 Sorry but you are wrong on so many accounts. It just gets announced for Fall 2012 and you instantly know it's "old shit in a yearly fashion?" 1) It's not old. 2) I have to admit that I think it's an awesome idea that appeals to kids on multiple levels (it's a videogame, it's a toy, it's a collectible). 3) It's for kids! How incredibly groundbreaking was Mario 2 compared to Mario, how much have Jak & Dexter and Ratchet & Clank expanded? They're platformers for kids. As a kid, I didn't care a fig (old school expression) -- if it's a videogame, I'll play it. It's a completely different market. I think Activision is really on the money (f' yeah, pun intended) here. Besides, why would Activision give up if people (parents/kids/grown-ups who like the game) want to spend their money on it? Vote with your money. Activision doesn't search the forums for what sanchezz thinks about the product nine months before release. |

| Wow, what a way to exploit the market. They know that kids will buy the toys and get the game as well for the kids. Thats a double wammy on the wallet. |

Oh lord, this was inevitable. The stores here in Holland didn`t really have the toys on display, but during a trip to England, I noticed that Hamleys and Game stores are crowded with them. Which gave birth to the fear that these things were selling like hot cakes. Sad to see this turned out to be true enough for Activision to produce more of this junk. Let me explain why this is so bad; you only got 2 or 3 figures with the original game. All three of these had a "type", and there are 9 or 10 in all. The kicker here is that there are type-specific areas spread throughout the game, which are only accessible by plonking the corresponding type onto the portal. What does that mean? Loads and loads of locked content. Even more than we`re used from Capcom in recent years. You literally have to buy 5 or 6 extra figures, if you want to experience the full game, for which you already paid 60 bucks. It`s a scheme of almost satanic proportions. I know publishers need to make money, but there`s something called consumer-friendliness. And it seems kinda unethical to milk your customers for all they are worth. This whole situation is as if you buy satellite television, only to find out you only have access to 10 channels, and have to buy keys to unlock the rest. Inb4 viral marketeers jumping on my case, be ashamed about defending this exploitation of consumers. |

| @4 Activision should care what people like sanchezz4387 think because I have kids myself. I'm the mug they are expecting to shell out money for. let's face it kids arnt going out spending £60 on video games are they? The parents are. Skylanders spyro came out last year and this is coming out this year so YES it is ANOTHER yearly rip off on activisions behalf. I'm glad you like it, but I ad I'm sure others don't. comparing it to Mario or Jak and daxter is pointless, they haven't brought out yearly installs with loads of costly peripherals. GH, TH:Ps and Skylanders do though. |

| Although I hate Acti, but that doen'st make this game bad, yeah there is alot of locket content, but I'm feelin like a kid again when I play it, and its a fun interactive game, acti have upgraded the lvl of pokemon litteraly, you now have i figurine, that you can teleport into your game, and then take it with you to your friends house, and play with the same stats and all that shit, great work, and alot of replay value. I will be getting the giants. |

Kids love games and kids love collecting things. No harm at all in combining them both together. You don't have to buy it and to be honest shame on you if you never saw a sequel coming. After all you are saying it's what they do! |

| It seems cool but damn retailers are getting more greedier than activision, $8 per single skylander at first and toysrus started selling them at $10, then everyone want to follow suit and raising their price to match toysus but then toysrus realized it and decided to raised their price to $11.50 and no one do anything about it, my son could cry all he wants but at this rate its going to end up like a certain video game that has been milked bone dry by their greed. |

i dont care wat all haterz say but my son liked it and it was well made not GOTY for sure but nice my son do like to get a new figurines every now and then the game very easy to do with the only 3 figurines but if you want more you can buy more not much difference with day 1 dlc IMO i prefer this kinda gamerather than just toys like pokemon |

| My son and I both liked the game and are looking forward to giants, but I have to agree it does feel like a bit of a rip off. First of all the figurines are over priced and you can grantee the new bigger figures will be even more expencive. However my biggest problem with this is the ammount of battries the portal goes through. I hope the new portal is more like the one for the xbox which plugs into the console, or even better give the bloody thing it's own battery pack like ps3 controllers. |
