Namco Bandai has announced that its customisable robot stomp 'em up Armored Core V will be coming to the US this spring, with massive online multiplayer battles and a robust offline single-player mode, all with a hefty dollop of shooty strategy gameplay. “Gamers have been eagerly anticipating the release of Armored Core V, which will bring strategic mech combat to new heights,” said Eiichi Nakajima, Studio Head at developer From Software. “With cooperative missions, a persistent online world battling for territories and epic team battles, Armored Core V is the complete action shooter package.” There's an all-new Operator Mode promised for AC V too, which has you overseeing the tactical action on the battlefield, doling out orders like a regular Patton. US retailer GameStop has also revealed some pre-order extras, with the 'Heavy Assault Pack' which grants additional weapons and parts as DLC to help in customising your bespoke war machine. Armored Core V will be coming to the US on March 20th, 2012. Presumably, Europe will follow suit with a launch on March 23rd, although Namco Bandai has yet to confirm this. ![]() | |
