Never played it but I heard KZ1 was pretty average... KZ2 and 3 however I have played and they were great. Big Guerilla fan (I'm from Holland and it's our only good studio so...) and probably gonna get this. |

| rented KZ3 this week, played for an hour and was kinda disapointed, but hey I can't judge a game on it's first hour, gotta finish it firstXD (don't feel like playing it trough and that says something imo:P) hope the plat won't be as hard as KZ2, but yeah I'll definitly get this for just 10 bucks! |

Well, as always, no trophies, no buy. It's quite bad as this game could have benefitted greatly from an HD remastering (alongside the addition of trophies), as it would have been in 720p, with better textures and a rock-solid framerate, and we know that the main flaws from KZ1 were textures and framerate. Anyway the game wasn't that bad at all, I thought it was quite great even. |

| To the people wanting this game to have trophy support and be in HD, ever hear of the HD Collections? Those are the PS2 games remade into HD with trophies. The ones they release on the PSN ar just like with the PS1 Classics, they are there so you can relive some good ol' memories, or have a chance at playing games you didn't get to in last gen's time. |

| Killzone 1 was a great game on the ps2,I loved it.Its what made me want to buy Killzone 2 the moment I heard about it.....then the demo came out on the PSN,downloaded it,played it and have hated it ever since, along with Killzone 3 + demo.Definitely worth buying the first one though. |

I still have the PS2 copy lying around collecting dust It was good in my opinion, but not 'you're losing out if you don't play this' good like the hype made it out to be. I skipped KZ2 as many of my friends stated it was like the first with better graphics and huge competetive mode & I've never been into competetive in fps's (or most other games for that sake) But I got KZ3 and feel it's good, so I might actually pick up KZ2 now if I stumble over it & just ignore or boost the competetive part like I always do ;) @Donkey-er, KZ3 is generally considered a very easy fps Platinum, & I share that opinion, I've had to struggle to get through highest difficulty on some games but KZ3 was a breeze, 2 bottleneck sections that I got stuck on a bit. Elite on KZ3 is kinda like normal or hard on many other shooters imo |

@6 and 9, just because this is a PS2 game released on PSN instead of getting a HD collection on a disc doesn't mean there will be no trophies, when games like Resident Evil 4 and RE: Code Veronica are on the PSN with trophy support, although they are HD remastered you have to wonder if Guerilla will give Killzone an HD touch up because people are hardly going to play a game on 720 instead of 1080p now a days but then this has only just been announced and more details may arise closer to the time of release. @11 I fully agree with you 'Black' was an awesome game I would love to replay it, a true epic. |

Why don't they come out with a ps2 classic system on PSN like they do with PSOne? Or something to allow backwards compatibility? Anyway this looks good |

loved this game, and played through it many times; still one of my favorite shooters every. with that said... sony, i would buy a PSN copy of Killzone if it had trophies, but with no PS3 specific incentive to make this purchase, i think i'll just stick to playing it on my PS2... how hard can it be to tag some trophy events into the scripting of the game? i'm not one to only play a game for the trophies, but surely it can't be that hard? |

@19 What we're trying to say is why buy it again for PSN with no added extras like hd or trophies. Most of us still have our PS2's so we may as well buy it off ebay for like 5$, maybe less instead of $10 (For those in Australia that 15$!) because it will be exactly the same game. Also some of us also still have the game so there's no need to re-buy it. @16 I could never get into KZ:L, its like the majority of PSP games, it suffered major control issues and i have never passed the game because of it. |

It would be sweet to have this game remastered into HD and with trophy support maybe that will happen in the futue who knows. On a side note never played KZ1 so i shall be getting this regardless so i understand everything better and to have completed KZ1 like i have 2 and 3 |

@23: Don't extrapolate something to get a dumb answer. I already have KZ1 on my PS2, and I still have a PS2, so I really don't see the point to buy the same game, with the same 480p resolution (which looks really bad on a HDTV), with the same bad textures, and the same bad framerate. An HD remaster would have solved all these problems, and added trophies to the pack, and it would have been a buy for me. But I still maintain my point, I don't buy a game if it doesn't have trophies. This website is called PS3Trophies.org, and if I go on this site, it's because I like earning trophies. In my opinion, Sony did a mistake here, and even if some people would buy it as they only know KZ2 and KZ3, the game would look very bad as it's a straight port. And considering there's no trophies to collect, trophy hunetrs won't have any interest in buying the game. |

This is gonna look GREAT on all our fancy HD tvs, why bother GG (or most likely sony...) If your gonna do something as back asswards as this at least port it to Vita where there is SOMETHING new about it and it wont look like complete shit on screen. That said, it was a good game and different for its time, course I also played it on a PS2 fat with a slamming 13" Sony Trinitron! haha |

| If you liked KZ2 and KZ3 you will hate this, it was a terrible game. #27 is right, the Ps2's look like shit on hd tvs, that is the difference between a direct port and an "HD Version." And I can't mention enough how awful this game was. |

Oh, I forgot to mention, not only is this a direct crap port, but you will actually have to PLAY as Rico, not just listen to him... maybe GG will change the script on this PSN version and have Rico DIE, that would be ideal, it should be a gold troph btw |

| If you still aren't buying or playing games because they don't have trophies... Wait for it... Kill yourself! On the topic though I agree with the earlier post that the fact they aren't giving it the hd remake is lazy... And now that the option is there I hope devs don't jump to do this more often... If there's any reason not to buy this that is it... |

People formally bitched because PS3 dropped backwards compatibility. Nowadays, it's cool to bitch because every game released on the PS Store doesn't have trophies. Because playing games is no longer about how fun it is. It's about the trophies. Hats off to you, Linkinto. You've taught me that trophies are more important than how fun a game may be. |

| @32 Ive played both KZ2 and KZ3 3 times each and i really dont see why everyone hates Rico. He's like a normal character and theres one of those in every game. And also if your playing as him, wouldnt it be better because you dont have to listen to him? |

| @34 Couldn't agree more. I love having trophies in games, it adds a nice extra challenge, but when people start buying games SOLELY based on their trophy content I can't help but feel they're totally missing the point of buying a videogame. |

Well, just to clarify everything, we're on a website about trophies. Which is logically filled with trophy hunters. Killzone, with this poor SD re-release, won't have any interest to a trophy hunter, because it doesn't have trophies. It's like the Minis, PS1 and NeoGeo Classics, they don't have trophies and many people pass on them because they don't have it. Anyway, I still have games on my PS2 (including Killzone), I still play these games to this day even if they don't have trophies, but in my opinion, releasing Killzone 1 as a PS2 Classic, and not a remaster, is a bad move by Sony, even if it will attract some KZ2/KZ3 fans which started the series on the PS3. When I said "no trophies, no buy", it's my trophy hunter heart who talked, but my gamer's heart also says to not buy this game as it doesn't add or improve anything on the PS2 version that I already earn. No 720p, no better textures, no better framerate, just a port that will have the same flaws that turned Killzone 1 into an average game. |
