This game, IMHO, was a real gem that alot of people missed out on. Mp was great, single player story was spectacular (if a little short) and overall I was glad I got it. I had it on the other console, so an "ultimate edition", so long as it hits £25-30 and no more, it'll be worth a purchase |

| @1 A GEM? Are you kidding me? It looked so good before release but turned out to be a real disappointment. 4 Hour Campaign and a 'decent' MP is not a gem... |

| I thought the online in this game was very very well done. It's worth a try for anybody looking to take a break from bf3 or cod. |

I didn't mind Homefront, that was until it whipped all my MP stats and prevented me from getting platinum. So yeah, y'know what: FUCK THIS GAME!!! |

| @1 a gem? I think you meant trash. When you have a story shorter than COD and a sub-par MP it doesn't deserve an ultimate release. |

| People are being a little harsh, although the campaign AI was non-existent the MP had a few good ideas and was fun to play for a while. This was a good game in a genre where people only expect great games. I'm not interested in a rerelease but am very interested in what Crytek will do with the sequel. |

@4 & 8 I am absolutely NOT kidding. this game was a break from the norm. It had a FANTASTIC story. Yes it was short (shorter than recent CoDs? No! about the same in my opinion) But it was crafted pretty well and in this bullshit Call of Duty day and age, it was a breath of fresh air. I, for one, LOVED the multiplayer. It was the first time in a long time (and remember, I was playing it on xbox) that I have played a game with actual teamwork. It felt like a cut down version of Battlefield 2 to me (not to mention, crappy Unreal 3 made it look like BF2) and it was endless fun to play. Battle commander mode was something a little different that i GUARANTEE would have been better recieved if the call of duty hadn't diluted the FPS waters with it's piss! Just because it ain't call of duty, don't make it bad. In fact, it being a little different, was what made it, IN MY OPINION, worth every penny! |

@9 Don't forget, it's actually Crytek UK that are developing Homefront 2 Formally "Free Radical Design" and the guys that made: 1. HAZE 2. Crysis 2's Multiplayer. Both of which are not good examples of decent game creation and really make me fear for THQ's best new IP PS. Sorry for double posting |

| @12 They're also the company that made the Timesplitters series, which is probably the best multiplayer IMO. So it shows a lot of promise that they're working on this. |

@13 I'll give you that, but their recent work doesn't show much promise, you gotta admit that! |

| I had high hopes for this game, then I played and thought wtf! It took me 2 hrs to finish the last chapter because the fucking game crashed like every time I got off the damn chopper. So this announcement is no-go for me, thanks!!! |

| Damn. Oh well, I just got the game for myself on sale before Christmas. I honestly can't see why it gets so much hate though. I downloaded the MP demo and played the piss out of it. It was very fun and was a nice change from CoD4-mod3.0 aka Black Ops. Sure there are little things that people may find annoying but I though it was a great MP that was trying something new. And the story was amazing for what I could get from it's short campaign. If Crytek doesn't skimp on the campaign and they keep John Milius to write the story, then Homefront 2 could be a gamechanger in terms of an FPS with an amazing storyline. |
