Uncharted and Wipeout are the two first-party titles that catch my eye, while Lumines and a couple of others sound interesting in the third-party titles. Not sold on the system itself, though, especially since every handheld system in existence has undergone at least two makeovers. Plus, I never like to be an early adopter of something like this. I hope it succeeds, but I'll wait and see.

$49.99? That is a $10 increase from the original PSP pricing. I swear, if they try to make games $69.99 for the PS4, I doubt I'll get a PS4 for the first few years. That's just robbery.

Shouldn't Plants vs. Zombies be considered a first-party game? SOE is a direct subsidiary of Sony (I know cause I had friends who worked there).

Why is it US not only gets more launch titles than EU, but they also get better launch titles than EU, I the PS Vita on launch, but their aren't really any launch titles I want, the only one would be Uncharted, but I don't really like the Uncharted series

Nothing on this list really stands out to me but it's a firm list nonetheless. I just need me some Monster Hunter to seal the deal. Gotta slay me some dragons ya hear.

I've seen a lot of people ragging on the Vita lately, but ultimately none of us know yet how the thing is going to perform. I would, however, like to point out that this sucker might just have the best (or at the very least, most compelling) launch lineup I've ever seen, especially in this generation.

I sincerely hope the current backlash is just out of precaution (see Comment #1 and the endless revamping handhelds seem to incur), but I am incredibly excited about the little gadget.

That said, I still approach with cautious optimism.

dont know why people are complaining about the games being too expensive in america and uk. In australia, the games are being sold from 38-68 au dollars. That is what i call robbery. You guys have it cheap so, unless you guys get less money from working. If not stop complaining.

69.99 would be nice for me. My stores charge $74.99 for some new releases

@6, Totally agree. All 3 of the NA versions pretty much never left my PSP. Wouldn't be right without it! And there's a pretty damn good group of followers here in America begging for a new one NOT on the Wii.

The trick with consoles is to never buy them brand new. After a year they go down like a quarter of the price and have lots of better games.

Where's FFX, I was sure that it was meant to be coming out in time for the hardware release date? Guess I was getting my hopes up.

Fairly lackluster list. That said I think I will still get one for Uncharted and bide my time until more comes out.

Busy times with Skyrim, Saints Row just now and Mass Effect 3 in March. :-)

I hope since this new handheld has so much power, Bethesda make a fallout game for the PSVita, that would rain supreme!

PAL prices also now released and bloody damn expensive, the closer it gets to release the more likely it's becoming that my saving will go into a Xbox720 kitty instead.

First-Party games:

Uncharted: Golden Abyss - €49.99/£44.99/$69.95 AUD/$89.95 NZD

ModNation Racers: Road Trip - €39.99/£34.99/$54.95 AUD/$69.95 NZD

Everybody's Golf - €39.99/£34.99/$54.95 AUD/$69.95 NZD

WipEout 2048 - €39.99/£34.99/$54.95 AUD/$69.95 NZD

Unit 13 - €39.99/£34.99/$54.95 AUD/$69.95 NZD

Little Deviants - €29.99/£24.99/$39.95 AUD/$54.95 NZD

Reality Fighters - €29.99/£24.99/$39.95 AUD/$54.95 NZD

Memory Cards:

4Gb Memory Card - €19.99/£17.99/$26.95 AUD/$34.95 NZD

8Gb Memory Card - €34.99/£31.99/$44.95 AUD/$59.95 NZD

A new Hot Shots Golf tempts me, but I need to see more details before jumping at a launch purchase.

The Hot Shots series gave many hours of fun on the PSP - we could really use a new title for the PS3 - but since getting an iPhone/iPad I haven't used the PSP in months.

American prices so far equal $39.99 for uncharted and $29.99 for wipeout. I haven't seen any game pricetags that go above that but then again the system hasn't launched yet, they can very well raise that.

@ #5 - Sony was going to launch the same games in every territory, but then they saw your terrible grammar and decided to tone it down for the EU.

Fuck yah, getting Rayman for sure and mutant blobs. Prob spend more money on the ps store then on retail games, I'm not interested in many of them so far, and I'll wait for golden abyss to drop in price a bit.

A handheld game selling for more than a console game? Sorry but if anyone pays £44.99 for uncharted are mugs. It isn't ps3 standard so isn't worthy of a ps3 price tag end of!

@16

FFX will be a downloadable PSN game for PS3/vita with no release date other than "2012".

No one ever said it'd be out on time for vita, otherwise it'd already be out in japan.

@28 £44.99 will be the recommended retail price just like PS3 games are £49.99-£54.99 and they tend to come down by upto a tenner in stores. So provided stores maintain this then I assume it will be more like £34.99-£39.99 like the 3DS...
As for PSN though I magine it will be even more expensive than those prices.

Uncharted is the only thing that catches my eye... But the amount pod money I'll have to put into the PSV just to play it is insane so I'll be passing on it.

In Denmark 1. party games are expected to release at around 400 DKR (70USD/45£), the memorycards at 4Gb 160 DKR (28USD/18£) 8GB 285 DKR (50USD/32£) and the 16GB at 400 DKR (70USD/45£).

The Vita itself is expected to be around 2000 dKR (350 USD/225£) for the WiFi model.

So you guys are getting it cheap compared to us.

People, simply don't buy stuff for prices you consider too high. They'll go down eventually one way or the other. You can check for special offers or wait for price drops ect., no one forces you to pay the fifty bucks for a game or more.
