A couple of titbits of Final Fantasy XIII-2 news for you this morning. First up is the downloadable content release schedule for the game in Japan, which should give some indication as to what we should expect in other territories. According to RPG Site, Square Enix has revealed at the annual gaming shindig Jump Festa that the Omega DLC will be the first to hit. Omega is a big robotic quadroped enemy thing, a powerful beast whom, if you beat it, you can recruit to your party via FFX-III's monster collecting feature. Following that, there's some slightly less interesting stuff on the way, in the form of DLC costumes for Serah and Noel. Serah gets a pink bikini in February (lucky Serah), while Noel gets to dress up as our favourite Italian assassin Ezio Auditore from AssCreed. RPG Site are also speculating that Lightning may also be getting her Colosseum costume in future DLC, but that's yet to be confirmed by Square themselves. Elsewhere today is the news that tri-Ace, the people behind Star Ocean, assisted Square Enix on the development of Final Fantasy XIII-2. According to Siliconera, tri-Ace programmer Yuichiro Kitao revealed via his Twitter account that his company contributed game design, art and programming ideas. Already out in Japan, Final Fantasy XIII-2 hits the West early next year. | |
