Arc System Works Europe and PQube today announced that the ultimate BlazBlue Continuum Shift edition, BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend, will be coming to Europe in Q1 2012 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita.

The Extend edition comes with all previously DLC-only released characters (including Makoto, Valkenhayn R Hellsing and Platinum the Trinity), all new stories, a powered up Abyss mode, a new Unlimited Mars Mode (which pits you against the “toughest opposition you’ve ever faced) and brand new Team Battles (2 v. 2, 3 v. 3 and even handicapped matches like 2 v. 4).

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend will be available in Europe in Q1 2012 and in Japan on December 17th. To tide you over, have some new screens right now!

I actually dont understand this shit the DLC is released before the actual Special Edition. I actually dont understand people who go for the limited editions.

@Master K It's nothing new look up Guilty Gear XX and you'll see what I mean. That game has 5 versions and Guilty Gear X had a few different ones as well.

Can't freaking wait for this!!! The post seems to lack one of the other main selling points, Relius Clover being a playable character as well!

@1 This isn't a special edition, it's essentially a new game. New balance changes, new modes, new story for dlc characters and a brand new character. Plus including all the previous DLC on the disk is a nice bonus (one which I was expecting from UMvC3 but whatever, that's Capcom so what did I expect?). If you wanted to learn any of the DLC characters in the original versions then you had to buy them as they were added, that's how it was. I think it's very nice of them to include the DLC when they create a new version, and this is coming from someone who bought all the characters as they came out.

My love for fighting games comes waaaaaaay before my interest in trophies, but I am still intrigued though, will this have a completely new trophy list?

@1 The game is meant for those who play the game on a regular basis, think of it as the GOTY edition just as many other games do with there DLC except with this were getting more and its catering to those who play competitively with a character balance change essentially making it a whole new game (so basically from here post 5)

@5 Yes sir there will be a new trophy list, it's already up on the sister site. Only less than 3 weeks until my import copy comes in ~
