Sony Officially Announces The Gran Turismo 5 Spec II Edition

Sony has officially announced its Gran Turismo 5 Spec II edition following its initial reveal in Famitsu earlier on this week.

Spec II is set to hit Japanese shores on February 2nd, 2012 for a price of ¥4,980 (about £40/$60) and will ship with the full version of GT5, all the content from the version 2.00 update, as well as including a product code to download the “Complete Pack” DLC from a few months back. In short: it’s a “game of the year” sort of package for Gran Turismo 5.

With Gran Turismo 5 Spec II edition and Gran Turismo 6 already being worked on, it's a busy time over in the Polyphonic Digital garage then!

There’s no word on a European or North American release just yet, but when we hear anything, consider yourselves informed.

	I guess as GT5 is now only £10 in shops they aren't making enough money quick enough. "Quick! Relabel the pack and include the DLC!" problem sorted.

	@5 Doubt they made enough money when it was first released at all even. 6 years dev time leading to (from what I understand) is a completely last gen game in terms of everything but graphics = sad panda.

	GT5 NASCAR was a joke, so was the rallying, infact, most of it was a joke... 'The REAL driving simulator' yeah right, whatever!
