Army of Two: The 40th Day

Army of Two Sequel is in Fact Army of Four, Says Report

A report on the internet today is saying that EA may be throwing sequel numbering out the window for the next Army of Two game, calling it Army of Four and introducing the franchise to 4-player co-op for the first time since it appeared on our console 3 years ago.

A source told Kotaku that the third Army of Two title will in fact be called Army of Four and is being developed by EA’s Montreal studio – the same that developed the two previous iterations – and will feature 4-player co-op and run on DICE’s hugely impressive Frostbite 2 engine.

According to the same source, development is “not going well,” so much so that the sources believes that DICE could move members of their team over to assist on the title.

Of course, as with any rumour take this with a pinch of salt… actually, take this one with a bucket of salt. I guess it isn’t surprising for a publisher that dates its sports titles a year in advance to just skip a whole game altogether as if it never existed. What’s in a name, huh?

Finally. I've been playing so much Ao2 and Ao2:The 40th Day.

Four players might be a little too much but I guess thats what the special forces team usually have.

Anyway this made my day xD

After Ao2:The 40th Day's glitched trophies & DLC I'm going to stay right away from this.
EA Montreal studio has to be the worst dev for support.

Built in the Frostbite 2 engine should be good though.

Personally, I loved both Ao2 titles. Ive been looking forward to some info on this. As long as it still supports splitscreen co-op, I'm in.

Hesitant but curious would be how I feel about this. Mainly because of DICE's Frostbite 2 but still.
This "slap Frostbite 2 on everything that ever sold well" tactic EA seems to have made lately seems to work.

They wimped out of calling Ao2:The 40th Day Ao2:2, they should definitely call the next one Ao4(Ao3). On topic both previous games were ok offline and the last one was on online too, so I look forward to another to fill a few quiet weeks.

I've been thinking a bit about this and I came to the conclusion that the other 2 contractors might not be playable but only giving support like Murray and S3kshUn8 or maybe AC-130 gunners. Support is as important right?

Hell yeah, I fucking loved 40th day. I don't give a fuck if the trophies were glitched, playing that game with my homies and pimping guns was so fun. I can't wait for this, day one pre-order for me.
