Assassin's Creed Ezio Costume in Final Fantasy XIII-2

Ezio Auditore has sneaked into Final Fantasy XIII-2. Well, his costume has anyway.

Coming on the back of the Assassin’s Creed star’s appearance in Soulcalibur 5, Square has revealed that Ezio’s trademark beaked hood and robes will be available as an optional outfit for the character Noel Kreiss.

It will be DLC though, so don’t be surprised if they charge you for the honour of donning the master assassin’s clobber. Full details will be revealed “at a later date.” A pic of the outfit is below.

  • oh. my. god...
  • -_-
  • WHY!!!!!!!!!!
  • *Reads topic: Assissin's creed :D.... Costume in ... --___--
  • Final Fantasy is dead to me. Now if there was an Ezio Persona, what arcana would he be?
  • Im probably the only person that thinks this looks good and actually looking forwardto this. i played this at the mcm expo and i honestly enjoyed it so just one day i come on to this site i hope that no one will be bitching about a game.
  • I consider this an insult to the Assassins Creed franchise... Final Fantasy lost it's way years ago, it's only surviving off the glory of VII and VIII.
  • lol ezio auditore, into final fantasy XIII-2 no comments xD
  • Nice ! But preferred if the females also get one too
  • is it just me or is ubi being an attention whore. I mean a movie based on the game in cinemas, character in calibur 5 and costume in here???
  • @ #10 soon you will go to school in an assasin creed suit it seems a hit in all games :o now reality is next xD
  • More concerned that an FF game will have DLC :(
  • Goodness gracious me. This is the exact opposite of what a Final Fantasy game should be. It SHOULD be a stand-alone single-player story, with a world on its own, pertaining nothing to previous titles. And no DLC. OK, since this is FF XIII-2, it will of course have similarities with predecessor FF XIII. I can give you that, Square Enix. But they don't even get some old FF characters in. No, Square Enix decides it's best to have a completely different franchise to feature in an FF game which, let me remind you, should be a world and story on its own. As I said, this is the exact opposite of what I expect of a Final Fantasy game. If you grew up with the good stuff, you probably feel the same way about this. This news made me decide definitely not to get this game. I just cannot support this in any way.
  • im concerned that square enix have convinced themselves people actually want this!
  • not that bad look a lot like an unknown from KH1 (just played the first one)
  • -is the only person who really doesn't care that an assassin costume will be used in FFXIII-2- i'll still be buying the game!
  • gay
  • Beast.
  • Next thing you know there will be a Disney mash-up where you fight alongside Mickey Mouse and swing a giant Key...oh wait...
  • Funny how people that find the idea slighly interesting or curious get thumps down like crazy. The idea is certainly retarded, but leave the non-haters alone
  • @ eburkulosis Luckily, they created an entirely different, original -- and well-received, I might add -- series for that. Kingdom Hearts. You see any "Final Fantasy" in that title or even the letter "F?" Didn't think so.
  • I have an idea...If you don't like the idea don't download the DLC.
  • @ tostigroover Yes, I thought it was called "Final Fantasy, the land of Mickey and Kingdoms with Hearts Now featuring Keys instead of swords because keys aren't considered violent or threatening" Give me a break. Is nothing sacred?
  • @6 ..break a leg!
  • ok thats just bad. i wont use this dlc its just now FF
  • love AC series but not near as much as FF series. I honestly dont see who in the hell came up with this idea. I want some of what he was smoking. So im confused tho its just a skin? like he will take the place of a person in your group and just have their abilities? again very disapointed i will not be buying this dlc. why couldnt they just do a ff character like tidus? THAT would be cool
  • i ment not* FF
  • nvm sorry i missed the part where he would replace noel. thats kinda stupid tho if they are gonna put him in there they should give him his own moves.
  • I don't know if I wanna laugh or cry... Well Assassin is good license as Final Fantasy too but this is a little bit too much... But it seems it's fun to do cross-hovers... They did it with Batman and Predator why not Lignthing and Ezio... I must be getting an angry and frustratred old guy...
  • Whatever. It's optional, guys. Doesn't matter. They aren't forcing you to dress the FFXIII-2 character in Ezio's clothes.
  • @26/28 It is a costume for Noel. It is not Ezio. To be honest, its completely out of left field and make no sense, however... Seeing as Noel looks like Male Yuna, maybe this will toughen the boy up.
  • Wow, a lot of grammatically-challenged people are misreading and/or overreacting to this. It's one costume, not the Ezio character himself, and it won't alter the campaign in any way. It's a small piece of optional DLC, not something that will add trophies or unbalance the game. It's Ubisoft doing a touch of advertising, and it's both companies doing something nice for the fans while trying to pick up a small chunk of change. There's nothing wrong with any of that. If you don't like it, stop whining and don't buy it.
  • LMessi10, man you really don't know how to read.Guess you're also expecting Altair and Desmond in this game. With their own move sets. People giving thumbs down here are funny. I mean, how can you give a thumbs down to comment #30?:) So you think, you are actually forced to wear Ezio' clothes, huh?:)
  • Hey at least its better then his standard outfit then again a assassin outfit always is better lol
  • Everyone is so up in arms about it... is a game, get over it.
  • People complaining about this and allowing this to change their minds about whether they should buy the game or not are the kind of idiots that make today's gaming community look bad. Can we go back to the 16-bit era now, plz? Is this idea nonsense? Yeah. Was it made just to appeal to AC fans? Yeah. Is it in the game when you buy it? NO. Are you forced to get it? NO. Can you play FFXIII-2 without this costume and pretend it doesn't exist? FUCK. YES. Get over it, haters, and grow up. A simple "well, it's one DLC I'm not interested in" would suffice.
  • I wonder how many zeroes the cheque that Ubi gave to SE had on it.
