These were great games! Anyone who hasn't played them should give them a try! Lots of fun. Off topic- I changed my x360 from component cables (720p) to HDMI (1080p) on a 46" LCD and I could see the difference- cleaner edges, seemed better colour as well. 720p is still pretty though.

| @7: Most new games aren't in true 1080p. They're just 720p upscaled. So why would 3 older games be upgraded to true 1080p when new games are rarely at that resolution? |

Component and HDMI cables have the same video quality of 720p. It's just the quality of the cable and personal preference on which one is better. More importantly the current generation console games are most in 720p, not 1080p. Only PC has 1080p on all games.

I never did play these but how can I not get this when I have heard great things about it and it's Naughty Dog! I love that they are releasing old PS2 games in HD and they have trophies. Not every new game is awesome and sometimes we want to relive our childhoods.

I must admit that I never played any of these games back in the PS2 days - As with the Sly games, I always intended to play through them at some point, but never quite got round to it. However, I picked up the PS3 Sly Collection and loved it, so I can't help but feel that this Jak & Daxter collection is a chance for me to catch up on games I missed out on last gen.
Now all we need is a Ratchet & Clank collection, which I did have the pleasure of playing on the PS2 but would gladly play again in HD! :D |

I'm impressed with this site, no one is whining that the awful Jak X isn't included with this. Yay you guys!
HD collections are a hot commodity. What else do we need? We got DMC coming out soon, Silent Hill as well...
Ratchet And Clank
Kingdom Hearts - makes me wonder what all would be with it...I'd hope 1 and 2 (final mix please), and Birth By Sleep ...although fans will whine they want Chain of Memories and then whine when they play how awful it is.

Grand Theft Auto (3, VC and SA)
Max Payne would be nice too...these last two would be perfect right a little bit before their new game comes out.
There are others but most are single titles that could just be released as PS2 Classics. |

I wouldn't give up on it, but those two games would obviously be a lot of work to do. So far most of the games we go HD uplifts of are linear straight point games...a huge open world sandbox game or massive rpg would be a pain to do right.
You cant just upscale everything and hope it works out or your games will be awful...for example see Splinter Cell collection. For an example of how to do it right? See MGS or GoW |

| I will probably get this. These collections are never as fun as the actual games that came out on PS2. Most people, including me, just rush through the games and want the multiple platinums. I know I've done the same thing with God of War games, and Sly Cooper games, and they are my favourite franchises from PS2. The collections just arent the same as when they first came out, now its all about the platinums, even for me. |

| i noticed the trophys have been released for Jak 1. i noticed when i was updating my gamercard. looks a very simple but fun list. i 100% the first one about 5 times so know it inside and out. none stop should take about 5-6 hours to platinum. |
