"But what could Polyphony possibly introduce for Gran Turismo 6 that hasn't already been crammed into the feature and content-packed GT5?" how about some cars that don't have Nissan Skyline, Mazda MX5/Euros etc etc? honestly the feature GT5 was mostly repeated cars with different names and race editions of the same thing (even in its DLC lol) and still no added cars from the 2010-2011 era other than a Honda CRZ, hopefully GT6 will include a wider selection of different cars to choose from. |

| I just hope they fix the remaining bugs with GT5 before they even consider diverting more resources into making another one. |

| great, sure hope they'll make more super detailed cars this time, altrough I doubt it, coz they gotta do it in max 3 years imo. 3 years is a lot I know, but it takes time to make something like this (altrough 6 years is crazy!) |

"But what could Polyphony possibly introduce for Gran Turismo 6 that hasn't already been crammed into the feature and content-packed GT5?" How about taking leaf out of Forza's book and... Getting rid of colour chips in favour of a colour wheel for custom colours Custom graphics/decals Race mod available for all models More bodykits/wheel options More extensive modifying options (wheel sizes, engine swaps, etc) More real world tracks (Silverstone, Brands Hatch, etc) Less variants, more variety (too many Civic's and MX-5's) Split endurance races between A/B spec drivers(2x B-Spec and 1x A-Spec for 24hr) Lose the Premium/Standard car divide. All should be high quality models Improved damage modelling and applied to all cars People carriers Off-road racing (Jeep, Bowler, Land Rover, etc) Caravan racing (?) |

| I like how this is "news" but if you watched one of the GT5 interviews that released BEFORE GT5 came out he had already said GT6 was in production. There were cars that hadn't released until right before or after GT5 that became full production race cars so that is most likely where they started. What I'm curious about is how EA's/NFS's Porsche exclusivity contract will effect GT6. To my knowledge there aren't any in FORZA 4 because EA has that contract. |

Yeah, I'll look for that right around the waning days of the PS4's lifespan. Seriously, it took them 6 years to create a vastly inferior remake of GT4 for the PS3; I'm not even interested in what minuscule little junk they'll be able to program on hardware that's even more sophisticated. Maybe they can put TWO hundred Nissan Skylines in the next one. |

| I think this is great. GT5 was a massive jump from GT4, that's why it took so long. I think with the foundation in next-gen set this will be quicker and like a massive DLC pack. Basically, prettier maps and TONS more Premium cars. |

| I don't know why everyone's saying this will take forever. GT5 took forever because Polyphony was having to build and perfect their own engine and simultaneously begin production on the game. Now that they have the engine running optimum they will be able to push out a sequel no problem. The distance between 1&2 wasn't that far off. The distance between 3&4 wasn't that far either. The gaps between systems are where we are caught waiting. "And if history repeats itself" we should see GT6 by sometime early next year. Right before E3 2013 where predicted PS4 announcements will be. |

I could foresee this not coming out until PS4 for multiple reasons. In reality GT6 being a launch title for the PS4 would benefit not only Sony but PD as well. So, Sony announces PS4. Shortly after PD goes up and announces GT6 coming out as a launch title for PS4. PS4 would obviously be more of a beast machine than the PS3 currently is. To say it won't be would be just dumb. Odds are RAM, HDD space, and the Cell will be upgraded with PS4 along with newer, better Blu-Ray tech. This could extend disc sizes for PS4s up past the 100 GB mark EASILY along with boost read/write speeds. So now PD in turn has all this bigger tech to work with... Taking the base they have with GT5 and extending it even farther to use more of the PS4 power would make for an even better GT6 than GT5 is now. Gamers see GT6 along side a PS4 and realize the possibilities that's there not only for the PS4 but GT6. What happens to BOTH items? Just pointing it out... Sony and PD could easily scratch each others backs by waiting for the PS4. PD having new, better tech to work with could and obviously would result in a better GT6 than what we'd get out of the PS3. Sales for the title, if indeed it were a launch title, would be quite large I'd imagine, probably larger than GT5s. That in turn would help to fuel more sales of PS4s, helping Sony get it out there with more numbers and a better launch guaranteed than the PS3. |
