Always thought it was funny - Heavy Rain Chronicles : Episode 1. Why bother numbering it? Loved this game, but was seriously disappointed there wasnt any more DLC. |

So, in the middle of all the AAA titles, they choose to rerelease a 2010 game with zero new playable content? Wow... |

This is just a rehashed version of Move Edition that's already out so if you've already got that release, there's little point getting this one. @2: There was originally going to be a lot more DLC but the publishers called a halt to them so as to direct all the resources into the Move Patch. Once the Move Patch was finished, the publishers cancelled the remaining planned DLCs. |

Awesome game. I speak from experience. I recommend it to people who have not played it and are interested in a mature story. Having said that, I will never buy this. I already own the original and there's nothing new here even remotely interesting. Makai said it already: "zero new playable content." |

NICE, very nice, they completely gave up on this game, shat on all of us after promising all this great DLC will come and explain, blah, blah - and now they want everyone else who did not get suckered the first time to buy basically NOTHING new for $29 measley dollars... come on! Now for anyone who has never played it, get the bargain and enjoy, it WAS a great game. |

| It pretty cool but it has no replay value after you have unlocked all of the trophies. It would sell good if it was cheap. This way it can get more people to play this awesome game. |

| This was a great game but why bother releasing a director's cut? and why bother calling the DLC episode "Episode one"? When will games companies learn that these director's cuts make less money then if they'd bothered to put out more copies of the original onto the market and just released DLC? |

Loved the game when I first played it. I remember having to get amped before tackling the Bear challenge because I started believing in the real worldness and seeing a real danger in barreling down the wrong side of the highway. However, replay is not very kind. Heavy Rain only works when going by immersion and when comparing how this and that can work... the gaminess comes out, and the gameplay is kinda weak. Yeah you can skip chapters, but the game being one big cutscene you can't skip the unnecessary/redundant dialogue. It's nice that someone thinks enough to repackage Heavy Rain, but it's not enough. Oh well, Sony will mess up the backwards compatibility on the PS4 and plenty of people will eagerly rebuy the game all over again. |

Never played that game.. just saw parts of the demo.. don't get me wrong but it didnt attract me at all, even if everyone tells me it's a great game I won't be playing this. Maybe if it gets free on psn like dc universe, I could give it a try.. maybe |

As multiple people have said...good for those that do not have it yet or never played it...anyone that played it and finished it...nothing new here. Director's cut really makes it sound like they are adding something or that it is different than the original game. It's really not. |

What's with all the hate? It's the same price as the standard version, they are just giving their customers some extra things. This is obviously not marketed towards people who already have played Heavy Rain. And as for the whole DLC bullshit, who cares? The game was already a diamond. PS3's GotY for 2010 in my opinion. |

@24 Ummm.. I do. They had said they were going to release DLC to flesh the story out more, but then cancelled that to focus on making it Move compatible. Still love the game, just wish they would have done what they said they were going to do. |

I loved this game soooo much as it was a single player experience without all this online multi nonsense. as a big fan of the studio and direction I still have to agree that this does nothing for the REALLY hardcore fan or for the two people that have not been spoiled but can pick up the budget copy if they wanted to. Move support was unnecessary |

So it's actually not really a Director's Cut unless the original version already was the director's cut - in which case releasing a director's cut would be pointless. I can almost guarantee you that the "bonus content" is just trailers ect. that has been seen online for long now and the stuff like avatars or background design isn't really worth the purchase. The only actual addition would be the OST, but personally I think, while the score is great during the game, it's nothing I'd listen to when off the game. As was said, maybe great for those who haven't played it yet, but I bet they'll get cheaper away by just buying the old, regular edition now and getting the Taxidermist from the PSN. Move update was free and to be honest, the move controls sucked TERRIBLY anyways in this game. Calling this a Director's Cut is just a poor attempt of creating a false impression, not to mention the cover is rather ugly and overloaded with symbols and writing. |

@24 Not really in fact did you actually look at what their giving you for the director's cut? Trailers and the themes (you can buy online may I add), in fact I'd say this is worst then anys special edition Capcom ever released, they've found a way to make one without giving away ANY new content. |

@34 But the problem with this isn't that there's extra content but that there's no need to have the extra content, let's go through what extra content this has and not to patronise you in any way I'll show you what I mean (sorry in advance if that's the impression you get) - Complete, original game, Heavy Rain: Basic we get this with the original - Heavy Rain Chronicles: Episode 1 – The Taxidermist DLC: Can be bought on the PSN - Heavy Rain Original Videogame Score by award-winning film and television composer, Normand Corbeil (16 tracks): Who here actually listens to the gaming soundtracks? I've got one for Killzone 3 and Red Dead Redemption and I hardly ever listen to them - New front-end menu and interface with built-in Move support: New menus. Do we really have to pretend menus are that great?! - A series of 8 “Making of” Bonus Videos: Unless your planning on making games for a living then it's not that exciting, trust me you'll watch the first one, get bored and then play the game again - Three Dynamic Themes (Heavy Rain, Heavy Rain ARI Forest, Heavy Rain ARI Mars): AGAIN on the PSN for you to buy - 15 additional pieces of new concept art: Concept art again isn't that important (Note that I don't mean to the games designers but to us gamers), this seems more like padding out a dull director's cut if anything - 2 bonus Trailers (Thank You Trailer, Love Trailer): Youtube. It's a video site, the people who buy the game will upload them onto it Basically my problem with this is there really isn't that much people will need if you want to get Heavy Rain, it's been out for a while and a preowned copy will do just as great as the director's cut version. |
