Battlefield 3 Insert Points to Medal of Honor Sequel Reveal

A peek inside the Battlefield 3 Limited Edition - once you've flicked throught the manual and other gubbins - yields a card promoting what appears to be a sequel to Medal of Honor, with a new logo for the game sporting the Tier 1 motif and the letters 'MOH', as well as the address for the Medal of Honor website.

The flyer also has an ESRB rating pending or BBFC 18 TBC certificate on it in North America and Europe respectively, indicating that it could very well be a hint that the next Medal of Honor game is set to be officially announced soon, for a possible release sometime next year. With Battlefield 3 almost out, it could be that EA may be shifting its attention to its other military franchise.

Medal of Honor developer Danger Close pretty much confirmed that Medal of Honor 2 was in the works back in February, with Executive Producer Greg Goodrich declaring "Yes, Danger Close is currently working on the next Medal of Honor," which is pretty cut and dry. Now this logo is further proof that Medal of Honor 2 is probably due to be revealed soon. 'Nuff said.

Im actually really excited. I think the last one has really moved the series forward and had a fanatstic story. The multiplayer was also a pretty fun hybrid of Battlefield.

Hard to feel too excited when it's not exactly wowing information compared to the obvious Battlefield 3 game itself, but still good news to hear. While the multiplayer was pretty lacking in MOH, the single player had some awesome AI cooperation, not to mention great storyline.

The story was amazing. If they can tell DICE to stay away from their multiplayer, MoH2 might be an all-around good game.

Nice would be pretty sweet to get a MoH 2, I actually enjoyed MoH and don't know why so many people complained about it, seriously what were you expecting? Just because Dice was making the MP didn't mean it was gonna be like Bad Company 2 -_-

MOH was a great game too me. The online part what made alot of people move away from the game. Dice could of did a better job people. The game was rush too meet up with black ops.

moh was ok but c'mon, not enough game modes, not enough guns, not enough maps, not enough levels, not enough unlockables, not enough fun.

Battlefield 3 will still be much more fun than moh2 in my opinion

The campaign was fantastic, and definitely needs to be longer this time around. The mp was okay, not bad, not great, just okay. If they revamp it and have more maps and game modes, it could be an excellent shooter.

MOH had one of the best single player campaigns that I have played in a fps. If they keep the sp quality the same as the first one then I'll be happy.

I was hoping that BF3 would bring news of the new Medal of Honour.
I loved the 2010 campaign (short as it was) and was hoping for a sequel since the second the credits rolled on the first.

The sooner, the better IMHO

@#21 The majority of the camping was due to that stupid Cruise Missile trophy, the only negative part of the game IMO. Loved both off and online and the heads up on a sequel gives me something concrete to look forward to in 2012.

I also loved MOH. But I might wait to check this out, with BF3 being only less than a day away I will be spending all of my time with it. Sorry to any new games but I think the next year year or 2 of my gaming will be occupied with BF

Perhaps in MoH2 we will be the tier 1 operators who take out Bin Laden. Unfortunately most of them had a sad ending as well. But it would make for an interesting campaign.

Really enjoyed MoH campaign even if it was rather short. Multiplayer was competent without really excelling in any way. Hopefully Danger Close learned a lot from the last one and will make this one even better (and longer).
Being announced and being released are a long way apart. I'd be surprised to see it before Q2 next year. They used that launch window for BFBC2 and think that helps sales when normally quiet period. Wouldn't make sense to pitch it at same time as BF3 or MW3 or even within 3-4 months

@25 I'm guessing you are referring to the shot down Chinook a while ago? Didn't they state that even though the Seals on board were part of the same unit as the Seals that killed Bin Laden, none of the ones on board were actually affiliated with that operation?

Medal of Honor was a fun game despite of it's shortcomings and I'm more than happy to see it getting a sequel. Hopefully the spawns aren't as bad this time around though.

Medal of Honor multiplayer was pretty good to me, but I honestly thought the single player was not as good as I expected. Ironically, I enjoy single player more. I hope MH2 get a better story mode and even graphics. Not hain, but just average.
