Namco Bandai has officially revealed the number of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon demo downloads, which has so far totalled over 1.2 million, prompting the release of a new trailer to celebrate the fantastic performance of the trial.

Furthermore, the Ace Combat series has sold 10 million units to date; a number that Namco Bandai will be hoping to build upon greatly with the impending release of Assault Horizon next week.

Check out the new gameplay trailer for another look at the balls-out airborne action, which Lee A actually found to be rather exciting when he played it at Gamescom. You can read his hands-on impressions here. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is locked on for October 11th in North America and October 14th in Europe.

Awesome! Really enjoyed the demo and previous installments of the series, just hope they've managed to pull it off in the full game.

I really enjoyed the demo, I would like to say that the dog fighting was a bit repetitive but still enjoyable owning people with the special under belly 5 rockets XD

I tried to fly the jet vertical to its highest point, I think it was Ace Combat 3 if you did it you seen the sky turn to dark and the stars come out almost as though you were reaching space unfortunately it doesn't do it on the demo (maybe need a fast jet?) then turn the jets vertically down to see the speed you clock up (surprised the pilot doesn't blackout tbh).

Dare say that I am not the only one who downloaded the free F15-c Death Rider from the PSN store even though I havent got the game yet lol

Enjoyed the demo, must have played through the helicopter mission some 15 times or so. Haven't had so much fun in a helicopter since Desert Strike.
