| Multiplayer is a waste of time....they give you no incentives...I played it and platinumed, plugged in multiplayer for a few minutes and then realized I was wasting my time and then I bugged out and sold it! |

@ 16 - I get that the majority is not always right, but when all sources say a game is terrible, maybe, just maybe they are onto something.
And bringing up Black Ops is a bit of a cliche and getting old, just because someone doesn't like a game you obviously do, doesn't mean they love call of duty. |

Making fun of other properties in the hopes that you'll be too busy focusing on bad puns to notice the glitchy and poorly designed game you're currently playing is what Gearbox does. Just because Borderlands (also a flawed exercise in map backtracking for 20 hours) did well, everyone's on their d*ck. Does no one remember their dreadful Half-Life ports and expansions? |

While I'm in Gearbox-hating-mode, @12, I hate to say it, but it WAS rushed. The game itself was in development hell for over a decade. But when Gearbox grabbed it, it came out about a year after that announcement.
And @16 "Gaming turd?" Really? Not only was that a stupid thing to say, you said it to a guy who played Duke 3D when it came out. My god, you people, seriously. |

The name is Duke Nukem Forever, but it hasn't been one single game that's been in development since the late 90s. Common sense would dictate that as technology advanced, those who goofed around instead of making an actual game would start over with new engines, new directions, etc. The sad/funny thing is that the franchise itself was never cutting edge, so there never should have been any pressure to reinvent the wheel. That it took so long before another sequel could be ground out like sausage only speaks to the gross incompetence of those involved in the process.
And in the box, the flier said the DLC was gonna be released in the summer. There is a chance that it might get released on October 11th, but I resist making fun of the possibility that it'll be a good year or two before the DLC comes out. |

Borderlands and the Half Life 1 Expansions were/are some of the best games I've ever played and poured heaven knows how many hours into all 3. Just because you thought they sucked, doesn't mean everyone else does.
Duke Nukem 3D was good when it 1st came out but it has not aged well. |

I really enjoyed this game.
It has it's frustrating moments and the graphics are pretty wank by todays standards but I used to love Duke Nukem on the PC and I enjoyed playing this one.
Granted, it's not the greatest game, but it was fun to play.
I hope they make another Duke Nukem game with better GFX and a new Engine that'll really do the PS3 hardware justice.

@16 who is the gaming turd? me? ok look I've played the demo and honestly it was enough for me to tell if the game was any good or any bad.. and YES it sucked, the gameplay was lifeless and funless it was like, you go there you do that then go there and do that again and again personally I hate call of duty more than any other game, so NO I don't play zombies on cod rounds after rounds. If someone want to jump off a cliff I'll let him do and keep walking foward, YOU are a gaming turd and a troll for bashing other people's opinion and being angry at them because you paid the full retail price on that garbage before playing the demo.

| i am honestly astounded at some peoples reactions to dnf, i bought the game and got what i expected, was it worth £40? probably not, but then i knew from the start it was never going to be a goty contender, it was a mediocre linear shooter with a shower of bad one liners, i still live in hope that gearbox will do the franchise justice now that they will have the opportunity to make a duke game from scratch. |

| @34 i totally agree...i stepped away from this title when i read the horrible reviews. sure am glad i decided to take a chance. got it used for like 10 bucks and have not regretted it one bit. sure the game definitely has its flaws but its no complete garbage like everyone is makin it out to be. the graphics are bad ppl because they didnt want to invest another couple hundred thousand dollars in licencing rights and labor cost to rebuild the engine for a 3rd time. everyone has to remember this game was supposed to hit on the ps2 and xbox its not gonna be the net cryis in terms of performance and graphics. the gameplay is repetitive but what FPS isnt. the humor is toilet trash, but thats what we expect from duke. in all actuality if you take this game for what is was supposed to be it delivered in every aspect. hell even the campaign length is around 12-13 hours which is more than any modern FPS can say. the only unexcusable aspect is the long loading times. other than that i think this game was golden and am eagerly lookin for the sequel becuase its time to kick @$$ and chew bubble gum and im all outta gum!!! |
