| I'm liking it already. It reminds me of Ash fighting his own hand for some reason. |

This sounds really good, and I wonder if this woman is Lexine from Extraction and the Severed expansion. The mission must have been set by the Unitologists or even disguised as something else entirely. I hope we hear something soon, or at least an announcement for a release date, cause I want to play this RIGHT NOW! I hope they move away from Isaac soon, or even have him as a secondary or even a cameo as with subsequent sequels. The mythology they've set up for the franchise can't all center around one man?? |

@1 I know what you mean....Ash/Evil Ash // Isaac/Shadow Isaac Can't wait for more news on this. Just started Dead Space 2 Hardcore run and the sense of dread from running out of ammo is awesome....Lets hope for Dead Space 3 they don't put in a trophy for completing the whole game without dying. |

Ok,so let me get this straight. After all the hell Isaac went trough in Dead Space 1 and 2.Now he has to face his own split personality shadow? I can already see the situation in my head, scenario play* Necromorph babies appear(I don't remember their names, but they come in big groups) Isaac:Shit! starts running away* Isaac's shadow:Yeah Isaac, keep running, just like the coward you are. Isaac:Thanks for the optimism jackass. If I could grab you I would leave you incased in an iceberg and leave you for dead. Isaac's shadow:Oooohhhhh a threat,I guess is as close as a thank you as im going to get for giving you my awesome tips. Isaac:Screw you. Scenario ends* |

| If this is true then it sounds great already, don't think we will see a release until 2013 as Dead Space 2 only came out this year. |

| I'm reserving full judgement on this until it's officially confirmed as I'm not sold on this split-personality idea. |

| Nice to hear some info on DS3 so soon (assuming it's legit)...it took too damn long for DS2 to be announced. This 'Shadow Isaac' doesn't sound like a terrible idea, but I want to know where Ellie fits into all this. I really hope this isn't '5 years later' or something like that. |

Not too sure of what how I feel about this idea. Having a split personality along the ride with you the whole time, even if they are taunting you, kind of takes away from the "you're on your own" atmosphere of the game a bit imo. You get odd companions here and there in the first 2 but it's not the whole game. Also personally I agree with #2 in that I would like to leave Isaac alone now, not get rid of him completely, but have him play a more minor role and have someone else take over as the playable character. Either way I'm hoping Lexine comes back in a big way in the next game, she's the most intriging character and I was bitterly disappointed with Severed's lack of story development in that department. Hope to hear some official news not too far in the future though, love this series! |

| Sounds awesome! I didn't like the multiplayer in DS2 at all so I hope there won't competitive multiplayer in DS3 but co-op could be interesting. |

| This gives the oportunity to change up some gameplay aspects and some killer new enemies too. Hopefully they will be arriving at this location well after the necros have will established their presents so we can have some cool interesting boss battles as well. Maybe we will see a complete convergence this time! |

@15 - I agree it was somewhat fun and a nice change of pace, but it got boring FAST. Like, 3 games and I was ready to call it quits. I don't really care if there's MP in DS3 though, as long as the campaign is on par with the other 2 games. @17 - That should totes be an easter egg. |

Survival Horror as a genre is all about the "fight or flight" instinct and should only be played at night with the lights out and is best with headphones, or an empty house (IMHO). You want to immerse yourself in the game situation and give the developers the best chance of scaring the bejezus out of you. Survival Horror games are great fun the first time you play, when you don't know what's going to happen next and every sound could be something out to get you. Subsequent play through are more like a regular shooter where you can get even with the game :-) Dead space Extraction for example was fun but not scary. I knew I had no choice but to shoot the necromorphs (lot's of fight but no flight) This whole co-op in a snowy white environment doesn't sound like survival horror to me. no matter though, bring on Dead Space 3, I'll buy it :-) |

@24: I completely agree, Dead Space 1 was scary as heck at times but Dead Space 2 only has one or two moments that are scary. The bulk of the game was a nice idea but didn't quite work and the tacked on MP didn't help. I'd rather have another Story DLC then another crappy sequel and a patch to fix the bugs that have plagued this since release. |
