Extended Battlefield 3 Trailer is Boombastic, Fantastic

Here’s the proper, full-length version of that Battlefield 3 trailer from last week. It’s big and brash and noisy and blummin' great.

There’s not a hell of a lot of new gameplay footage to be found here though, to be honest. But it makes up for that with more explosions and bassy blasts than you can wave a semi-automatic at. Besides, it’s got Jay Z’s 99 Problems rumbling away beneath it, what more could you possibly ask for?

Oh, what’s that? You hope it includes a childish dig at Modern Warfare 3? You’re in luck, son. The tagline to the trailer is “Above and beyond the call.”

D’yageddit?

Battlefield 3 is out in the US on October 25th, Australia on October 27th and Europe on October 28th.

I am so looking forward to BF3 every new trailer just looks better and better.

BF3 is the only shooter im interested in but theres this little thing that annoys me: does EA really think its necessary to bash on the competition? i never thought i'd say this but Activision is really wiser here by just ignoring it. if you start using dirt-tactics like in this case it only means your really afraid of your enemy and don't have enough confidence in your own product (which i dont understand because BF3 looks great), just remember coke vs pepsi and how that turned out EA-_- dont be lame bashing MW2, its not necessary

I will be honest.The only thing interesting about MW3 is gonna be the single player story line(Not the graphics or gameplay just the plot) and the survival mode it offered.But this is gonna be EXTREME in everything!!! I saw the multiplayer trailer and it makes COD look like a pussy(No offense to the fans since I support both series,but not the MW2 multiplayer and the MW3 multiplayer) Battlefield3 FTW!!!!!

Did you see those pillars crumbling under gunfire and the building collapsing OMG this game needs to hurry the fuck up and get in my PS3!!!!! Who got the call of putting jay z to that trailer? Hope they are now reading their p45 poor poor choice

MW3 had Kanye, BF3 had Jay-Z. Not the highlight of either games.
Thank god that's over with and we can focus on the matter at hand. The games.

#5 How is it going to be better on PC? I heard that with a mouse and keyboard it makes it easier to play. Which means console players are better because they have to use their thumbs to guide where the targeting cross is rather than move their hand.

And I'll have you know the PC version is far superior than the console versions, if only because of the 64 player multiplayer.

Only issue is that the US gets it earlier bit of a dis-advantage for Uk Europe as they'll be far in front on levels if you managed to get into a game with them

@16 you are right, it is lame constantly bashing Call of Duty, but they probably do it cos they know MW3 is guaranteed to outsell Battlefield 3 and can't take that

okay we get it jay-z sucks. but i think the song was a metaphore for call of duty not even being in the same league. so all in all good choice. btw the trailer was sick nasty and im pumped.
