| With so many HD remakes coming out lately, what are the chances of some old GTA females being made? I'd be happy if they just left it as single player only. |

MGS2 Substance VR missions are in but what about the other MGS2S bonuses like Snake Tales and skateboarding? Anyone know? |

| @6 Seriously, Port the Twin Snakes from Gamecube and add trophies at the very least if you don't want to HD it. |

| It's funny how we've all accepted that there is no longer backwards compatibility for PS3 and yet we get excited and are willing to dish out our money all over again when they re-release PS2 games for the PS3. I just hope the developers understand that it's really the platinums that we're after. RE failed in that area and I hope MGS gets it right. |

@13 There will be plats in this...re4 and cv were meant to be downloadables, no idea why they made a disc version of them though :/ |

| @13 good point! Maybe they can do a MGS 4 trophy patch while they are at it! I wish so bad that and Valkyria Chronicles had trophies. |

@13 My PS3 runs PS2 games fine. This has always been a day 1 for me. Been a Kojima fan since 1995 when I got Snatcher for Sega CD. |

| Needs more Twin Snakes, I absolutely loved that game, much better than MGS1. The voice acting, graphics and gameplay were better BY FAR *Flame shield activated.* |

This info should answer some questions. I've just copied and pasted it from: http://thesnakesoup.org/?section=briefing&content=news "VR Missions, Alternative Missions, Snake Takes and Casting Theater from Substance will be included. Skateboarding, which was available on the PlayStation 2 version of Substance, and The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, which was included with the PlayStation 2 version of Substance in Europe, do not seem to be included. That's understandable since technically Skateboarding Mode was a demo for Konami's horrible Tony Hawk rip-off Evolution Skateboarding and The Document of MGS2, while awesome, is an entirely new product. There's one more thing that I'm hoping will be included but they simply failed to mention it: Boss Survival. But before I get into that, let's talk about Subsistence. Even more is missing from it. Metal Gear Online and Snake vs Monkey (which was already included with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater; Subsistence simply added more missions) are gone and, like Skateboarding and The Document of MGS2, I can understand why. Metal Gear Online would cost money to operate and would require a complete overhaul to work with PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Snake vs Monkey is a crossover with the Ape Escape series which was developed by SCE Japan Studio, aka Sony. Why not add this to the PlayStation 3 and Vita versions? Because Microsoft's parity policy would probably prohibit this. Then there's Secret Theater. You know, that thing you unlock after beating Snake Eater that lets you see funny s*** like Metal Gear Raiden: Snake Eraser. So I'm hoping they just forgot to mention it. I am a little worried that they're cutting it out because unlike the cutscenes, these videos were prerendered. So it might be nearly impossible to increase their resolution. Personally, I think they should just add them and maybe include a "SD" warning like many Blu-rays do when they include 480p bonus content if they're worried that people will flip the f*** out when they're suddenly watching 480p content. Similar with Metal Gear Solid 2's Boss Survival, we're missing Duel Mode. Or at least, again, it's not mentioned. But Boss Survival and Duel Mode should be included in HD Collection. There's no reason I can think of as to why they should not be... Boss Survival and Duel Mode were a part of Substance and Subsistence that used the core Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater game engine to fuel it." |

Might be time to get around to finishing MGS2 (sold the game after Raiden showed up) and, particularly, MGS3 (stopped playing when I bought an Xbox 360). That screenshot really looks like shit, though... it's a shame that more TLC isn't given to these so-called "re-makes". Let's call this what it is: a collection of up-scaled ports. |

| They aren't being called remakes though. They are HD re-releases, and that screenshot is Peace Walker, which is being ported from the PSP so is bound to look a little worse than MGS2 and MGS3. |

| i'd like to know why this will be an awesome kick ass collection ans Silent Hill HD collection would be a piece of sh*t only having 2 titles with new VA. i'd like Konami put more effort in SH Collection as they did here |

| Why, why why?! Does this need online. Seriously MGS is such a great game stand alone, it shouldn't have competitive online. I just want MGS 2 and 3. Couldn't care less about Peace Walker tbh because judging from how a lot of the psn community acts most of the time, they wouldn't play this in true nature(stealth) |

@23, you try getting an S rank on PW with a Chopper/Tank and wave after wave of soldiers by yourself, you are going to LOVE the coop after you play it for awhile and meet your first friend who just happens to have a fulton launcher lol. You run into people who love MG, its not the typical FPS crowd... PW MP competitive was shit, just like most MGS games, my opinion only as I still play MGO 2 once or twice a month. |

| @25 I have both of those and haven't play them since there's no trophies there, i might play MGS4 after playing this but Valkyria Chronicles..... i really have to be sick of trophies and have nothing to play to play that. |

Great news anyways, frankly speaking I don't bother about bonus content, but it's really nice there's some. Hope they won't mess up with trophies, as Capcom did with RE. |

Here in the UK zavii.co.uk had a very limited edition of MGS HD Collection for pre order. Only 4,000 available world wide. I was lucky to get my pre order in. The edition is PS3 only. Comes in a metal case with 7 GAMES!!!!! Metal Gear Solid 1 (PSN Code) Metal Gear Solid 2 Metal Gear Solid 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 (Probably coming on a 2nd disc) Metal Gear 1 Metal Gear 2 Plus some art cards. Not bad for £65. |
