Dark Souls Prologue Part III - The Rise and Fall of the Dragons

This third part in the ongoing series of CG trailers for Dark Souls continues the prologue saga, with more witches, dragons and nasty-looking skeletal demons on show.

Each of these has their own agendas in these prologue videos, with the witches creating firestorm, while some fella named Gwynne chucks lightning bolts at the dragons, breaking through their stony-scaled skins.

It's that pesky skeletal demon who inflicts the worst plague upon the land though, unleashing a wave of disease, ultimately bringing an end to the dragons' reign. It's all typically epic stuff, and you can check it out in the new video.

Dark Souls is out on October 4th in North America and October 7th in Europe. Give our Gamescom preview a read for more.

The backstory / universe they are revealing in piecemeal fashion is compelling. I am liking how the characters, history, etc. are being fleshed out more thoroughly than in Demon's Souls. I imagine this Gwynne, the witch, the scaleless dragon, and the skeletal demon will be bosses / archdemons ...

Was that a LSOS at 1:04 ? :P

Have to agree with Dreadnaught though. From Software seems to be really hitting the mark with these trailers.

Looking good. It seems as if this game will actually have a cool story. As much as I still love Demon's Souls, I do not still play it for the story line.

why are there so many fags out there in need of others to join shitty 420 clans?

anyway, this game looks amazing; Demon's Souls was absolutely superb and i cannot wait to pick this up and die a countless number of times.
