Already pre-ordered Limited Edition. Can't friggin wait.
It looks fantastic, so many weapons! The one thing I'm a bit disappointed about is 9 maps. Although I know they're gonna be HUGE. Well, at least I get those 4 extra maps :D |

Love Battlefield & I've played over 2000hrs online over the years on PC, but have since become a console player (more cost friendly).
Sadly, this will NOT translate to consoles appropriately...
The map & vehicle configurations will be NOT work with a max of 12 player teams on consoles. At least half of the team will be in a vehicle at any given time; traveling around huge maps. Go ahead and give DICE your money for the console edition (they deserve it), but if you REALLY want to play it...Buy it on PC. Nothin' matches that epic scale of battle. |

Haven't played a BF game before (although i played MAG, which looks like a similar style) can't wait to give this one a go, long overdue that i actually see what Battlefield is like :) |

| I'm just so happy they have Team Deathmatch. As much as I love conquest and rush sometime I get sick of getting on stupid teams and just like to focus on killing people. By doing this in deathmatch I at least don't have to worry about contributing to the overall failure of a team by not going for objectives if there is none to be had. |

@20 Everyone knows the PC version will be the best, but that doesn't mean BF3 won't be great on the consoles too. Also what are you basing your fears off of considering they haven't shown any MP footage on consoles yet?
DICE has already said the consoles map boundaries will be smaller than the PCs map boundaries, it's not like they are just making the maps on all platforms the same size and then just dropping in 24 players for console and 64 players for PC. The only thing that will use the PC map boundaries on the console version of the game are the jets air boundaries, so they have more room to maneuver. Everything else will be more confined on consoles to keep the action going on consoles.
Also, don't forget BC2 worked just fine with 24 players and big maps, so will BF3, DICE knows what they are doing.

All I want to know is "if" EA plans on using the online pass with this title (as they have recently on many titles) and "if" the "console" versions will be supported by "real" servers too (and by that I mean not those gimpy "match making" wannabe servers.) Otherwise.. I just will not bother with this title. I'm already axing Resistance3 simply because, it will be using the online pass (phuck you Sony) and because, it's relying (as usual) on the (somehow now) standard peer to peer (match making only) crap. Standards. Whatever happened to standards and "ethical" business practice.
Seriously. I used to be a PC gamer (still using my home-made rig infact) however, I couldn't stand the elitism of most of the community. However, if it comes down to choosing between having my rights enchroached upon by unethical business practice and dealing with a bad community. I choose the bad community. Simply because, this generation is turning out to be the worst in a very long time. Sony really is doing some shady crap (again) and not for the best I may add. Not that any of the publishers to be honest are any better. I'm looking at you ElectronicArts and Cheap-o'-vision.
