Deep Silver and Piranha Bytes invite you to check out some new in-game footage taken from Risen 2: Dark Waters, their pirate-themed RPG featuring gigantic and majestic galleons, supernatural powers and fearsome creatures like the stone golem you'll see for the first time in the video.

Assuming the role of a hero sent by the Inquisition to stave off attacks from enormous sea creatures, you'll have to do all that you can to rally the support of a band of pirates to help you in your quest, as you prevent the briny monsters from destroying shipping traffic, leaving people without supplies.

As you're dealing with pirates, you'll have spells and firearms at your disposal as well as a few dirty tricks too, and you can take a look at what you'll be up against in the new trailer. Risen 2: Dark Waters has yet to be given a release date of any kind.
