![]() | Warhammer 40K: Space Marine Co-Op To Be Patched-In Post-Launch Written Wednesday, August 10, 2011 By Richard Walker View author's profile |
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will apparently be shipping without co-op, but the mode will be added approximately 30-days "give or take" after the game's launch in September. And goodness knows you'll need all the help you can get in facing off against the legions of Orks and Chaos, as you defend an Imperial Forge World from attack. Originally announced on the game's official forums, the delay in bringing the co-op mode for launch is down to additional polish according to the post, which means that you'll be able to download the co-op aspect of the game for free, as long as you have an online pass, found in new copies of the game. THQ sent the following comment to Shack News, confirming that co-op is definitely on the cards for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine post-launch: "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine will have co-op and we look forward to announcing more details later this month." It's unclear whether Space Marine's co-op will be a standalone mode separate to the single-player story, or incorporated into the narrative, which features protagonist Captain Titus brawling his way through Orks and Chaos soldiers. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is out on September 6th in North America and September 9th in Europe. [Thanks, Clint] ![]() | |
