Although Valhalla Games Studios' Tomonobu Itagaki claims that the gameplay mechanics in Devil's Third are at 100%, apparently the game itself is only currently around 20-30% complete, meaning that we're looking at a wait of approximately two years before Devil's Third releases. Publisher THQ reports that Devil's Third is set to arrive before the end of its fiscal year ending March 31st, 2013, which Itagaki confirmed to Game Watch Impress in an interview, stating that the game won't release until early 2013. What's more, Devil's Third's competitive multiplayer is also in a playable state, with resources being sunk into making sure that the game can support up to 32 players. Itagaki has also confirmed that competitive multiplayer will be joined by a single-player-only campaign with no co-op.
