DeathSpank will be making a comeback for an all-new adventure in 'The Baconing', which will see the titular hero facing his most formidable foe yet in the Anti-Spank on a quest to find the Fires of Bacon. The Baconing takes place in a science-fiction style post-apocalyptic setting that will be packed with the usual quests, puzzles, surprises and enemies.

The Vanquisher of Evil will also battle four new bosses such as the Minorque, with a higher level of difficulty and all-new locations including The Forbidden Zone, The Forest of Tomorrow, Barnacle Lake and more as you journey to locate the Fires of Bacon and destroy the evil power of the thongs. There will also be numerous gameplay enhancements to the combat system, such as a new shield bash move, the ability to deflect ranged attacks back at enemies and use powerful charge attacks. Apparently, the game will also feature a greater level of control too.

As well as a new sidekick known as Bob from Marketing who can use "Laser eye beams; Eat dead bodies to restore health; Eat live bodies as an additional attack option", DeathSpank: The Baconing will be more satisfying to play according to Hothead Games, who is making the game for release this summer on PSN, without the involvement of DeathSpank creator Ron Gilbert. Featuring over 100 quests, 70 characters, more than 80 new weapons, new environments and a new difficulty level, The Baconing will nonetheless have the same unique madcap humour that has become the game's signature.
