Beyond Good & Evil 2

I Am Alive and Beyond Good & Evil 2 Still in Development

If you're concerned that I Am Alive or Beyond Good & Evil 2 have been canned, fret not good people, because both games are still very much in the pipeline, as Ubisoft has confirmed to Eurogamer that the two titles are still in development and have not been part of a recent cull of projects.

Ubisoft announced last night that it had dropped the axe on a number of planned titles as part of an internal restructuring exercise, but these were all unannounced projects, so there's nothing to worry about. "Ubisoft has taken measures to adapt its structure to major changes in the industry by reorganising the roles and operations of its studios, which has resulted in the termination of certain projects," Ubisoft stated in its financial report. "Terminated projects were unannounced projects," a Ubisoft spokesperson added today.

"We have nothing new to report on those two titles for the moment," said Ubisoft when asked to comment on the current status of I Am Alive and Beyond Good & Evil 2. As far as I Am Alive is concerned, original developer Darkworks has been removed from the project, with Ubisoft's new Shanghai studio taking up development duties on the disaster-laden action game. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has cliamed that I Am Alive has been "totally re-engineered", which means that the game we saw back in 2008 may look very different now.

In a nutshell? Both I Am Alive and Beyond Good & Evil 2 are still coming, but we'll have to sit tight and wait for more information on the games. Here's hoping that good things come to those who wait. And yes, we're aware that this is the third time we've had to report that BG&E2 is still coming! Madness!

Sorry to be a kill-joy but BG&E 2 is in stand-by actually. Michel Ancel reconfirmed it in an interview of a french magazine new issue (released yesterday). He took the decision to stop working on it because of the actual limitations of the console.

Looking forward to more I Am Alive news, hopefully it will be back at the E3 I hope.

Ubisoft is too busy with rereleasing the same Assassin`s Creed game over and over, along with shovelware like the Rabbids games. I wouldn`t ever trust them, especially with working on BG&E2 and IAA.

I Am Alive could be good but I'll pass on BG&E 2 as I hated the 1st one and No2 will likely end up as vaporware like Duke Nukem Forever was.

Beyond Good & Evil 1 should be up on PSN with the first Store update after the outage, unless the artificially delay missed content

i don't know how i feel knowing i am alive is different. i need to see something on it now because i liked what i saw in 2008 but i don't know how it is now. And when it comes to ubisoft i was a timesplitters fan and hate them for dropping TS4 for a million assasins creed games. it was just a fun game IMO and i'll miss it.
