![]() | Red Faction: Origins Looking Surprisingly Good in First Trailer Written Tuesday, May 03, 2011 By Richard Walker View author's profile |
Forming an integral part of THQ's transmedia strategy for Red Faction: Armageddon, the feature length SyFy TV movie, Red Faction: Origins is set to air later this month to coincide with the impending release of tha game, and you can get a first look at it in this debut teaser trailer. Confounding our expectations of what we assumed Red Faction: Origins might be like, the production values look remarkably high and the narrative looks to be in keeping with the rest of the game's universe. Robert Patrick (Terminator 2, The Sopranos, The Unit) stars as an ageing Alec Mason - the hero from Red Faction: Guerrilla - while Brian J. Smith (Stargate Universe) plays his son, Jake Mason in a precursor to the story of Darius Mason in RF: Armageddon. In short, it actually looks pretty great, with plenty of action as the Masons fight for Mars. Check out the trailer now to see what to expect from Red Faction: Origins when it airs exclusively on SyFy later this month.
