Capcom has formally confirmed and dated Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition for June 2011, and it'll be available as both a downloadable upgrade for Super Street Fighter IV owners and a full retail Game of the Year Edition-type release a couple of weeks after the launch of the add-on.

As well as adding Evil Ryu, Oni Akuma, Yun and Yang to the roster of fighters, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will also include all-new character balancing for more refined gameplay and an updated Replay Channel with a search facility to find and follow up to 5 separate player replays. The Replay Channel will also allow you to share replay data with up to 50 players and use the Elite Channel to view replays from players with 3000PP or more.

The Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition will be available as a downloadable add-on from June 7th, 2011 for $14.99, with a full retail version to be released on June 24th in Europe and June 28th in North America. Check out a features trailer and two new gameplay trailers below. There's also 12 spiffy new screens in the gallery. Hadouken!

There. Stand alone for those that don't have it and DLC for those that already have Super SF IV.

Everybody wins.

Am so happy I havent got SF4 yet because of this reason!!!

@6 totally agree!!! Mvc3 needs more than just 38 people. Ken, Gambit, Ominusha, mother effin Kick-Ass!!! I could keep going but not enough space. Come on Capcom!!!

Well for those that are complaining about the SF4 constant add ons rest assured Seth Killian stated that this is the LAST update for any SF4 version...meaning after AE no more nerfs, buffs, characters, stages, modes, etc will be added. Hmm...Ono seems to really want a new Darkstalkers game as well as everyone does. I hope we get one!

Hmmmmm, if this is the last addition / version of SF4 it be time to finally buy, have been holding back for this very reason and cannot wait... looks pretty cool if not for the porn star voice acting! ;)

Great... another SF4, it's SF2 all over again. And still no Necro, Q or Elena! Capcom still can't get it right!

How many different ways are they gonna sell this game? It's like Pet Cemetary. Yes it's good, but it's not four iterations good. Nothing is!!!
